Luke walks over to me and our hands entwine. We stroll past a couple of stores; The sports store, a coffee house and a couple of cafes.

“Oooh, Luke!” I say, remembering something. Luke stops, confused.

“What, babe?” He asks, slightly weirded out.

“Can we call at the bookstore?” I ask, excitedly “I have some school reports I have to write and I need some books, as well as a few new novels and sequels that have come out”

Luke smiles “Yeah, cool” It’s obvious he doesn’t think it’s actually ‘cool’, but it’s cute that he is trying to show interest in stuff I like.

The bookstore is about 5 minutes away from us, and when we reach there, Luke does his usual of opening the door for me; I do my usual of thanking him. We stroll, hand in hand, towards the novels section. I do my usual of locking out the world behind me, while searching from 100’s of books.

I know for a fact Luke is going to try to pay for my books, however, I will do my best to not let him. I look through a few more 1’s of books, then move over to the information section with the 4 books I have decided to buy. I have a 3 reports due for when we go back (geography, French and science), so I have some books I need to buy. There is a book on French culture and a book on the biology of evolution that catch my eye.

I also need a book on the landscapes of Australia. Ironic. I think a book about Australia and New Zealand’s geography and landscapes. It’ll do. I pick up my nine books and struggle towards the counter. I think Luke is in the sports section. I’ll find him after I have paid.
