“What do you mean?” I asked, even though I had an idea of what he was saying. He played with the wristband on his arm.

“Uh” He said “Well” He sighed. I couldn’t think why he would want to talk more about the mistake. That’s all it was and will ever be. A stupid mistake.

“What?” I asked “Calum I need to kn-“

“Just shut up, Charley” He snapped, interupting me “I didn’t want to” Calum paused and he looked to the coffee. He didn’t take a sip though.

“You didn’t want to what?” I asked, coming off slightly more mean than I was meaning to come out. He sighed.

“I didn’t mean to fall” He looked me dead in the eyes, his brown eyes blazing in the light oof the sun. He looked gorgous. But I had Luke. And that is all I need. Just Luke and me. That was it.

“Look Calum…” I trailed off, not knowing what else to add or say. I just stared into his eyes. He looked like he hadnt slept in a while.

“I didn’t mean to fall” He repeated “But I have, and I can’t get up, and-Like I know you’re with Luke and I would never do anything to break you-but I wanted to tell you, that I have fallen” Calum breathed in and held his breath. He closed his eyes.

“Oh” I whispered, unsure if he could hear me or not, but I didn’t care. I guess I was glad that he wasn’t going to say anything to Luke. But the way Calum was, I didn’t know if I could let him go.

“Look, I, uh, have to go to work” He said, ignoring the last conversation “I work at the, uh, skateshop, I have to be there in uh-um I’ll just look at my watch-like 20 minutes, so I guess I’ll go-“

“Calum” I interupted him “I’m sorry” Calum nodded, like he had already accepted that I loved Luke, and stood up, leaving his practically full coffee, and leaving without even a small ‘bye’.

I grabbed my coffee, and walked out. There was a small voice from a few metres away, calling my name. I turned to see a familiar face. Well faces.

“Charley! Nice to see you!”  Ashton called, as he and Michael strolled over to me. They were dressed like it was summer. In shorts and tank tops; I guess they were all used to Australia. They reached me and I smiled.

“Hey” I replied simply.

“Hello!” Michael shouted, even though we were metres away. It was cool, being with these guys.

“Wanna go for food? Maybe         Pizza?” Ashton suggested.

“Sure” I smiled “Sounds fun” Ash nodded, smirking. He wore a cute bandana, making his hair a mess, but also cute at the same time. Michael’s hair was styled almost to perfection, it was not an inch out of place.

A“I love pizza!” Michael shouted, smiling and jumping with excitement. He was such an excitable person. He was cool. We set off to a local pizza place.
