We finally get to his house at around 7:30. We just casually chatted for about 20 minutes while walking, about none-sense really, but it was nice.

His house is 6 blocks away from mine and is the same structure, just grey bricks instead of my red. His door is green with a number 78 on the door.

“You coming in? My mum’s out I think, at bingo or something, I don’t really listen.” Luke says after he starts to unlock the door with his spare key. He turns to me, waiting for a reply, while still unlocking his front door.

“Yeah, sure” I smile back and he finally unlocks the door. He gestures for me to come in first, what a gentleman. He smirks and I walk through.

His house is nice, with pictures of him and his two brothers on the walls, in the hallway. I can see through the hallway and he starts locking the door once more.

“Go through to the kitchen if you want” He is still busy locking the door when I ask- “Should I take my shoes off?” Better to be safe rather than be sorry.

“Nahhh, you’re fine” I stroll, slowly, over toward the kitchen. I look on the walls and see some of Luke’s younger pictures.

One when he looks about 9. He is in his footy kit and is smiling with a trophy. That smile never changes.

Another when he looks 13. He is wearing a tuxedo and is grinning. He is in a room with decorations. Probably a wedding.

I see another picture, his year seven school photo. That smirk again. That smirk.

I finally reach the kitchen, when I hear Luke’s footsteps from behind me. I turn and wait for him. He smiles. We walk to the kitchen and he heads towards the fridge. I lean against a side and he turns his head.

“Want a drink- Coffee, tea, juice, water?” He asks.

“Um… Tea, please” I respond, shyly.

“Cool” His voice is quiet, he is concentrating.

I stare at him. He is so beautiful and charming.

“There… you go!” He smiles, excited.

“Thanks” I smile back.

“So…” He glances at the clock abouve the counter. It’s 7:35. “Any film suggestions?” He looks at me, half-grinning.

“Um…” I try to think. My mind has gone blank.

“I think we have…” He concentrates “Ice Age?” He laughs.

“Yeah, sure, whatever” I don’t realy care what we watch, It’s nice just to be around Luke. He changes the atmosphere when he eneters a room. I smile.

“You go through to the room, I’ll bring the drinks in, and maybe some snack? What do you like?” You

“Um…” I think “Maybe some crisps or chocolate?” I glance up at him and he nods.

“Sure, be right there” He gestures for me to go through to the room. I do as he says and slowly walk over towars the room. I open a door and I’m in the room.
