~Luke's POV from 3rd Person~

"I told you it was a trap," North said. Luke turned to him as much as the bonds holding them up would allow.

"No you said it looked like a trap. Entirely different."

"No, it isn't."

"It is. If you said 'this is a trap', I wouldn't have gone into the house. So this is all your fault." North grumbled something under his breath and Luke smiled brightly.

They'd been trapped before. This was no different. Somehow they'd get out. He hoped.

"Do you think this is a new type of rope?" Luke asked conversationally, examining the thick bonds.

North tilted his head slightly, looking at him rather disbelievingly.

"Shouldn't we be planning an escape, or something?"

Luke gave a shrug.

"Just trying to make conversation."

"You're unbelievable."

"Oh stop it, North, you're going to make me blush." Again, North grumbled, and Luke could make out a few impressive swears.

Their room was fairly regular, white walls, wooden floor, ropes tied to the walls to hold up torture victims. The essentials.

"Maybe it'll be like '247 Hours', where I'll have to cut my arm off to escape."

"What, exactly, would you cut your arm off with?"

Luke gave him a smile that showed his teeth.

"I have sharp canines. I'm practically a vampire."

"Oh god no, don't talk about vampires again," North pleaded but Luke had already started.

"Not like that 'Edward', though, because vampires do not sparkle. Vampires murder people and suck out their very life essence. And they don't fall in love with teenagers. They kill teenagers. That Bella just whines all the time. It's annoying."

"I still can't believe you made me watch Twilight."

"Oh, you loved it. You had a crush on Jacob. I saw it, North. There was a bromance starting."

North spluttered incomprehensibly. Before Luke could continue the door opened.

A woman walked in, tall and slender with red hair that fell down in curls and full lips.

"Hi," Luke said, giving her a cheerful grin.

The woman stared for a moment. "...Hi?"

Luke liked her. A woman of few words.

"Did it hurt when you fell-"

The woman cut in. "That's cute. You're my prisoner and you're calling me an angel. But flattery will get you nowhere."

Luke frowned. "No, I was going to say did it hurt when you fell from the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down." The woman actually hissed. North sighed.

"Can we skip the pleasantries?" he asked.
