      Kyle came back down the stairs as she was staring to walk up them, he grinned and reached out his hand to her. She took it and he turned to lead her to the room, he pointed out his room, the kids rooms and the bathroom on the way to the guest room. As they were walking past his room, they saw Tyler stumble out of his room rubbing his eyes. He looked up and said "Daddy? Who's that?" Kyle grinned and said "Hey Buddy, what are you doing up?" Tyler said "Had to go potty. Who is she?" Kyle said "This is my friend Rebecca." Tyler smiled and said "Pleased to meet you ma'am." Rebecca leaned down to his level and smiled, saying "It's nice to meet you too sir." Tyler started giggling and Kyle said " Go on now, then back to bed." Tyler said "It's time to get up soon Daddy." Kyle laughed and said "Not today pal, the hands will handle the stock. We have guests, and us adults haven't slept yet. So go on now, we'll see you in a few hours." Tyler hugged him and ran off to the bathroom before going back to bed.

       They walked into the guest room and she smiled before saying "It's lovely Kyle." He grinned and pulled her to him "I'm glad you like it. I hope you can get some sleep." She smiled and said "I'm sure i'll be out fairly quickly. You get some rest too though." He grinned and said "Might be difficult knowing you are so close." She slapped his chest and said "Kyle!" He started laughing before pulling her in close for a nice long kiss. Several minutes later they pulled back both out of breath, he kissed her forehead and said "Goodnight Darlin'." She said goodnight and watched as he stepped out of the room.

     Kyle made his way into the living room after checking in on the kids. He saw Alice staring out the window and said "You ok Alice?" She turned around and said "Just wanted to speak to you before I headed up to sleep." He said "What's on your mind?" She took a deep breath and said "Rebecca is one of the kindest and most loving people i've ever met. When she cares, she cares with her whole being. Her ex really hurt her, but she worked through it and was better and worse for it. She is open and so honest I don't think she realizes it sometimes until after she admits her thoughts or feelings, that it might not be the right time. What i'm trying to say is, once she lets you in you have the power to hurt her. Don't hurt her Kyle. She's been hurt too much."

     He looked at her and smiled, before saying "I like that she has you looking out for her, I have no intention of hurting your sister. To tell you the truth, i'm already starting to fall for her. She's amazing Alice, but i've also been hurt so I won't rush this between us." She smiled and went to walk past him, she said "As long as we're on the same page here." Kyle watched her walk away and said "There's an empty bedroom the 3rd door on the left. All the others are taken, Rebecca & Bella are in the 3rd one on the right." She turned and smirked "Thanks for the directions."

     Kyle shook his head and headed for the kitchen to dump out his coffee and prep the pot for in the morning. He saw Greg still sitting at the table and said "I figured you would have gone home to sleep." Greg laughed and said "No point, I gotta give the hands their orders for the day. Then I will crash for a couple hours. You need to go to bed though. Your kids will be up early , Katie won't be here until 9 and i'm sure your woman will want to go to the hospital early." Kyle laughed and said "She hasn't agreed to be my woman yet Greg." He laughed and said "Oh Kyle she already is, you just don't know it yet."

       Kyle laughed again then went quiet, when he finally spoke again, he said "I care about her already. How is that even possible? I always thought those people who said when you meet the right one you would know were crazy, now I know they aren't." Greg said "Just be careful Kyle, none of us want to see you hurt again. If you feel like she's special then do what you can to make that happen. Have you asked her how she feels?" Kyle said "It's too soon man, she's got enough on her plate right now, with moving and her mom hurt. I plan to just let things happen as they will for now. Maybe after we've spent more time together and things settle down."

      Little did he know at that moment Rebecca had been walking down stairs to get some water. When she heard them talking she stopped not wanting to interrupt. She slipped back up the stairs and grabbed her phone. She texted Kyle to see if he was awake. A moment later he responded like she knew he would.

R: Are you awake?

K: Sure am Darlin'. Something wrong?

R: Just realized we left my bags in your truck and I can't get comfy in my jeans!

K: No worries Beautiful, i'll grab them and bring them up.

R: I can come down, i'm a bit thirsty anyway.

K: You just relax, i'll bring up a bottle of water with me.

R: Alright. Thank You!

     Kyle said goodnight to Greg and went to get her bags. He grabbed her a bottle of water on his way up to her room and smiled, he liked having her here in his house. He tapped lightly and she opened the door, stepping aside so he could bring them in. He noticed a hair had fallen out of her ponytail and tucked it behind her ear, smiling down at her. She giggled and said "I'm glad I didn't wake you." He shook his head and said "Nope haven't even headed in there yet. I was closing down the house." She sat down on the bed and said "I don't know if i'll be able to sleep." He said "Worried about your mom?" She smiled and said "Part of me is yes, but it's more then that."

       He said "Want to talk about it?" She said "Then neither of us would get any sleep." He said "Tell you what. I'll step out and go to my room and get ready for bed. You get comfy and i'll be back in a few. Then we'll sit here and talk for a bit until you are ready to sleep." She smiled and said "Deal." He headed to his room to change and grab the baby monitor. It was about 10 minutes later when he tapped on her door. She opened it and walked back to the bed. He followed and sat down the baby monitor next to the bed. He said "In case Addie wakes up, she doesn't sleep well some nights." She nodded and patted the bed next to her. He said "You sure? I'm ok in the chair." She laughed and said "We're both adults Kyle, we're both tired, so come on. I promise not to take advantage of you." He laughed at that and climbed in bed next to her, sliding his arm around her so she settled into his chest. They started talking and it wasn't long before both of them were fast asleep.

       Kyle jerked awake to the sound of Addie calling "Daddy Daddy", he smiled at Rebecca in his arms and gently laid her down. She stirred and said "Kyle?" He said "Go back to sleep Darlin' we fell asleep, Addie is up and I need to go check on her. I'll see you after you wake up later." She nodded into the pillow and said "What time is it?" He said "Around 6. Go back to sleep." She smiled and mumbled okay as he was leaving the room. He walked into Addie's room and said "Now baby girl, what are you doing awake?" She giggled and said "My Daddy!" He chuckled and said "Yes i'm your Daddy. Let's change you little girl, then how bout we go back to sleep?" She said "No sleep Daddy! Play!" He groaned, then laughed before saying "Alright Baby Girl. How about we go watch cartoons and play on Daddy's bed?" She said "Daddy's bed! Cartoons! Yay!" He laughed and said "Quiet little girl or you will wake that house and we have guests over." She said "G-Guests?" He said "Yes Baby Girl. Guests. You will meet them today. There is Alice and her little girl Bella. Which you will get to play with. And then there is Rebecca." She smiled and said "Girls!" He laughed and said "Yes they are girls."
