        When they went back into recovery, Addie looked so tiny in the big hospital bed. The nurse smiled up at them in welcome and waved them forward. Rebecca slipped up next to the bed and gently kissed Addie on the top of her head. Addie opened her eyes smiling, before whispering "My Becca." Kyle slowly came up behind Rebecca and leaned down to kiss his daughter as well.

        Kyle wrapped his arms around Rebecca from behind as they stood there watching her drift back to sleep. Kyle said "She love you, you know?" Rebecca nodded and smiled through her tears at him, before replying "I know, I love her too. Just like I love Tyler and You." He hugged her closer and whispered "We all love you Baby. You have made our house a home."

       The nurse came over and checked all of Addie's vitals just then, interrupting their conversation. She looked up at them, smiling, she said "She looks good. The doctor just called and said he would be down in a few minutes to speak with you." Kyle nodded his head and replied "Thank You. How long before you think she will be more awake?" The nurse said "I would say probably in the next 30 minutes or so. She's still on some pretty strong medicines." Rebecca said "Thank You for taking care of our girl. I know it can sometimes be hectic." The nurse just smiled as she made her way out of the curtain and into another patient's temporary room.

      Kyle was just about to continue their conversation, when the doctor came in. The doctor looked at them both with a serious expression. Kyle sighed and said "How bad is it?" The doctor sighed before saying "The surgeon and I both agree another surgery will be needed. Her pressures are high, her O2s are now staying low, and the hole in her heart still hasn't fully healed." Kyle said "So how long do we have before surgery?" The doctor shook his head and looked straight into Kyle's eyes before answering "We will give her a day or two to heal from the cath, I would say at the most in 3 days. I will have to wait for the scheduler move things around. You won't be going home until after the surgery."

        Rebecca said "When should we know? Kyle needs to call his parents." The doctor said "Hopefully we will know in the next hour. I will let you know as soon as they tell me something. Meanwhile, they are going to keep her here in recovery for about 30 minutes before sending her back to her room. We just want her to wake up a little more. We will wait until we hear from the scheduler to let her eat anything. The surgeon will also be in to speak with you this evening about the surgery."

      Kyle and Rebecca thanked the doctor and then held each other tight for several moment. Addie opened her eyes and smiled at them, she said "Daddy looks sad. Need hug Daddy?" He let go of Rebecca and hugged his little girl. He whispered "I always need a hug from my baby girl." When he was done hugging her tight she touched her little hand to his face, whispering "Love you Daddy."
