       It was about two hours later they pulled into the the parking lot of the Children's Hospital. They sat there for a moment watching the kids sleep in the back seat. Kyle sighed and Rebecca reached over and took his hand, before saying "She's a fighter Kyle. She will be fine and I know this is a hard time with your Uncle passing, but we will get past it as well." He smiled a small smile and kissed her gently before saying "I don't know what I would do without you Rebecca. It's crazy how quickly everything has happened."

      She reached out and gently placed her hand on his cheek before replying "You won't have to find out Kyle, I'm here to stay." He turned his head and kissed the palm of her hand before looking up into her eyes. She smiled softly and glanced over her shoulder at the hospital entrance, where there was a man waiting. She had texted the doctor and he said he would be waiting. She turned back to Kyle and said "It looks like the doctor is waiting, We need to head inside and find out what is going on with our girl."

       He stole one more kiss before turning off the truck, and getting out to open her door. He opened the back door and unloaded Addie before handing her to Rebecca. She smiled and cuddled into Rebecca's arms mumbling "Becca." Kyle got Tyler out of the truck, hugged him tightly and then grabbed the diaper bag. He would come back for the rest of the bags later once they were settled. Tyler said "Daddy, will Addie be alright?" He ruffled his son's hair and said "You know she's a fighter son. This is the best place to find out what's going on. I think our Addie will be just fine."

      He took Rebecca's hand and they headed up to meet the doctor at the front door. The doctor greeted them and took Addie from Rebecca, he lead the way to the elevator and up onto the cardiac floor. Kyle said "I thought we would have to come through the ER." The doctor said "Usually you would, but i'm the admitting doctor so we can by pass that step. Admissions already knows what's going on and her room is already ready."

      As they passed the nurses station, a nurse stood up and said "Is this Addison?" The doctor smiled and said "She goes by Addie. I'm going to start examining her, while you get her checked in. This is her father, I've already filled you in on most her cardiac history but the rest you will need to ask Kyle." They walked into the room and Rebecca made her way next to the bed where the doctor had put Addie to examine her.

     Tyler climbed up into her lap and laid his head on her shoulder, he whispered "I'm scared." She pulled him closer and said "It will be okay Honey. Addie is strong, and a fighter. She will be okay." He whispered "That's not why i'm scared. I know Addie will be okay." Rebecca looked down at him and said "Why are you scared then?" He looked up at her and softly said "That you will go away like my mom did. She didn't want us."

     His statement brought tears to her eyes and it took a moment before she could speak. She softly told him "Oh Honey, i'm not going anywhere. Your Mom was crazy to leave you. I don't want you to be scared alright? Anytime you are you come and tell me." He nodded his little head and said "Okay." Before closing his eyes and drifting off to sleep.
