            Kyle came down the stairs to the sound of laughter and paused to listen. He couldn't help the grin that spread across his face, he loved the house full of laughter. He continued down the stairs and saw Rebecca twirling Addie around in circles, which seemed to be the source of all the laughter. He walked up to Rebecca and whispered in her ear "Do you have any ideal how badly I want to kiss you right now?" She looked up and smiled at him before saying "We better get going. You ready?" He laughed and said "Ready when you are Darlin' ." Rebecca gave Addie one more hug and said "Baby we have to go but we will be back in a little while, Alright?" Addie looked up at her and said "Okay Becca. You come back."

         They got Alice and headed out to truck. Kyle of course opened both of their doors like a good southern gentleman. As they were driving to the hospital Alice asked "So Bec, what happened with your boss?" Rebecca said " He was a jerk , threatened to fire me. I went to the head of the hospital and they gave me the time off, but I choose to just part ways so they gave me a generous severance package. So looks like while i'm here i'll be looking at hospitals and a place to live." Alice said "Really? You aren't going back?" Rebecca laughed and said "I have to go back to get Lucifer and ship my things once I find a place. As soon as we find out how long Mom's rehab is going to take, I'll probably take care of all that and just rent a storage building until I find a place."

      Alice laughed and said "Oh No! You are bringing Lucifer!" Rebecca smiled and said "Of Course i'm bringing him! I can't leave my baby!" Alice said "He may be your baby but he's still a demon cat and you know it." Kyle said "The sweet little cuddly cat?" Rebecca and Alice both started laughing hysterically and he said "What?" Alice gathered her self and just said "Wait until you meet him and he swats you for getting near her." Rebecca smiled and said "He's already put up at the kitty daycare for two weeks while we get everything under control. Martha said if I needed him to stay longer to just give her a call."

         They were pulling into a parking spot at the hospital already and Rebecca smiled before saying "This is close to the ranch. It looks like a nice place, we may have to check out the children's floor before we go home." Kyle grinned and wondered if she even noticed she had called the ranch home. He headed around and opened their doors before taking Rebecca's hand and leading the way into the hospital. They approached the desk for directions to the icu, then followed the directions to her room. Rebecca took one look at her sleeping mother and slipped tighter into Kyle's arms. After a few moments of gathering strength, she stepped to the bedside and said "Momma?" Her mom , Olivia, slowly opened her eyes. You could see they were glossed over from the pain medication. She smiled and said "Honey you didn't have to come all this way. It was just a little fall is all." Rebecca laughed and said "Momma they are going to have to operate , it was more then a little fall."

      Rebecca reached back for Kyle's hand, and said "Momma there's someone I want you to meet. This is Kyle, Kyle this is my Momma, Olivia." Olivia smiled up at him and said "My Honey, in town one day and found you a good looking cowboy." Rebecca blushed and said "Momma!" Though she couldn't help but laugh at the blush on Kyle's face as well. Kyle cleared his throat and said "Nice to meet you Ma'am. Sorry to hear about your fall though." Olivia was about to respond when the nurse came in and said she had to take her down to pre-op and they could wait in the waiting room down the hall. Rebecca said "Thanks. How long before they will start?" The nurse smiled and said "About an hour, someone will let you when they have started. So you might want to get your hugs now." They all said their see ya laters and the girls hugged their mom for luck.
