         Kyle and Rebecca continued to message back and forth the rest of that afternoon, talking about anything and everything they could think of. Kyle knew he wouldn't be able to talk to her while he drove and he had to admit he was going to miss it. She was sweet, funny, caring and so easy to talk with. After their first hour of conversation he was sure glad Greg & Katie convinced him to place that ad. He was just finishing up their last appointment and walking to pick up Addie's new machine, he sighed and looked at his phone. Rebecca had been typing a story about work while he walked to the other office and he laughed reading it.

K: You're so funny Rebecca :) it's gonna suck that we can't talk as I drive home.

R: When do you have to leave? How long does it take?

K: They are bringing the machine in now, so as soon as they are done explaining this thing. It takes 2 - 2 1/2 hours depending on traffic.

R: That will seem like a long time! I can't believe we've been talking all day Kyle.

K: Yeah me either. With this traffic i'm sure it will take at least 2 1/2 hours if not more. Once I get out of the city it won't be so bad. I love Texas but seriously hate driving into the city.

R: Is it bad there?

K: Lots of traffic, accidents, people and crime. A cousin of mine once said Dallas was as bad as driving into parts of Boston or Manhattan.

R: Hmmm .. maybe I need to look for smaller Children's hospitals then. I really hate driving in the city.

K: You know there's a smaller hospital outside of Omaha, it has a children's floor. There are several other places too. It would be closer than Dallas to your family.

R: And you lol

K: Yeah and me.

R: I'll look into it Kyle, I'm sure there are lots of options.

K: I have to leave now :( I have the kids all loaded up.

R: If you get bored or wanted to you could call me ;-)

K: I'd like that. After I get out of the city of course, the kids should be asleep.

        Rebecca grinned and sent him her number, telling him she couldn't wait to hear from him. She then picked up her phone and called her sister, as soon as she answered Rebecca said "Oh My Gosh! He's amazing Alice!" Alice started laughing and said "Oh really? how much could you have talked about over e-mail?" Rebecca grinned and said "Go onto my Facebook and look up Kyle Wilson." There was a pause before Alice giggled and said "Damn he's hot sis! He has kids??" Rebecca laughed and said " Yes, two kids 5 & 3. The mom isn't in their life at all. He's so sweet and funny and I know its weird but I seriously feel like i've known him forever! He's so easy to talk to, and he's excited that i'm coming down there to visit, we're planning to meet while i'm there in 2 weeks. He lives in a small town in Texas. Omaha.. he says it's only like an hour to hour and a half from broken bow." Alice smiled and said "Slow down sis! You are coming in 2 weeks? Have you booked a flight or are you driving?"

     Rebecca started laughing and said " Yeah i'm flying in two weeks from tomorrow, but i'll rent a car and drive to your place. I have 2 weeks off so we will have plenty of time to hang out. I'm excited to meet Kyle though!" She spent another 30 minutes on the phone with her sister before her phone beeped. She glanced at it and saw a strange number, she said " Gotta go sis, Kyle is calling!"

      She clicked over and said "Hello?" A deep southern voice asked "Rebecca?" She said "Hmm that's me, Kyle?" He chuckled and said " That's me Darlin'. The kids finally crashed so I called you. You're not busy are you?" She smiled and said "Nope not busy at all, you see i've been talking to this good looking cowboy all day, it's been quite a nice day off." He laughed and said "I'm glad to see you are just as funny on the phone as you are in text." She said " So how's the drive going?" He laughed and said "It's a long drive. I'll be making it again soon though." She said " Why? How did the rest of her appointments go?"

      Kyle sighed and answered "Most went well but her cardiologist isn't liking what he's seeing. He said her blood is mixing more than he would like, and her oxygen levels are a little low. He's scheduling a heart cath in the next couple weeks to check the pressures in her heart. I have to check her o2 levels 4 times a day , 1 while asleep and record it all, watch for symptoms of her getting worse. He says once we do the heart cath we'll know if she needs surgery again." Rebecca frowned and said "That doesn't sound good. What's her heart condition if you don't mind me asking?" He could tell she was frowning and smiled, this woman cared! He explained her exact condition and she said " Hmmm... that isn't the common heart condition for kids with Down Syndrome." He grinned and said "So they tell me. Are you going all nurse on me?" She had to laugh at him and said "Oh hush i'm always a nurse! It comes with the territory! Even on my days off." He laughed and said "I'm not complaining Darlin' , I think it's cute. So when are you coming to visit? I know you said 2 weeks but do you know the actual days you'll be here?"

      Rebecca laughed at the excitement in his voice and said " My last day at work is May 5th, My flight leaves bright and early Friday morning May 6th, I should be landing at Dallas Love Field Airport around 10 am. Then I will pick up my rental car and drive the 3 hours to Broken Bow. So I should be there from the 6th to 20th.. I fly out the evening of the 20th." He thought about what he saw on her page, she would be here on her birthday. He said " So 2 weeks? Hopefully we will get to spend some time together during that time." She smiled and said "I would really like that Kyle. I think we will get along well."

     Kyle and Rebecca talked the rest of his drive home, reluctantly ending their conversation when he got to the ranch. After he got the truck unloaded and the kids settled he ran out to the barn to check in with Greg. They went over the days events and Greg walked back to the house with him for coffee. When Greg was turned away he picked up the phone and sent off a text to Rebecca.

K: Already miss talking to you beautiful.

     Rebecca smiled when she got the message. She was packing up things she wouldn't need before the move to Texas. He was so sweet! She couldn't wait until her trip in two weeks! She waited a few minutes before replying, since she was wrapping up glass stuff to pack.

R: Me too! What are you doing?

K: Going over everything with my foreman, His sister Katie watches the kids during the day for me. What are you doing?

R: Packing up things I won't need until the move. I have tomorrow off too so I should get it mostly packed up.

K: Excited for the move?

R: A little! But more excited for the trip right now! And.....

K: And?

R: To meet you Kyle.

K: Good, that's what I was hoping you would say!

R: lol i'm glad you didn't think I was being too forward.

K: I really like you Rebecca. I'm excited too.

R: I like you too Kyle. I hope this all works out. It's so easy to talk to eachother.

K: Like we've known eachother forever?

R: Exactly.

K: It's the same for me. Now Greg is staring at me and asking question that I have no idea what he was talking about.

R: lol having trouble paying attention?

K: You have no idea! I'll let you get back to packing and i'll talk to you in a little while?

R: Of course! Maybe video chat later?

K: I would like that alot!

R: Ok i'll talk to you later!
