      They all headed to the waiting room and gave the receptionist their mother's name and she showed them the board they could watch for updates. Alice noticed Rebecca was fidgeting and said "Why don't y'all go check out the children's floor? I'll stay here and text you if they update." Rebecca smiled at her sister and said "Great idea, maybe I can see if they are looking for nurses up there. Kyle do you know the way?" He nodded and said "Thanks Alice. Can we bring you back something to drink?" She said "Sure a water would be great! Thanks Kyle. Now go on you two." Kyle took Rebecca's hand and led the way to the elevators.

    As they stepped out Rebecca smiled at the decorations and walked along in silence taking everything in. About halfway down the first hall they came across the nurses station. A nurse looked up and said "Can I help you folks?" Rebecca said "Are you the Charge Nurse?" She said "No that would be Lilly. I can get her for you or the floor manager Sally. Is there a problem?" Rebecca smiled and said "No problems, were actually checking out local hospitals because i'm relocating close by and i'm a pediatric nurse." The nurse said "Oh great! I know were short handed for sure! Let me show you where Sally's office is. She would be the one to talk to for sure." They followed her a short way down the hall to an office where she introduced them to Sally.

      Sally said "Please take a seat. So Nina said you are looking for a job? Where are you currently working?" Rebecca said" Actually I just left St. Mary's Hospital for Children. I'm relocating to Texas to be closer to my family in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. My mother just took a bad fall, actually they are prepping her for surgery downstairs now. So I need to be a bit closer. I do have a letter of recommendation from the director of St. Mary's and i've been a pediatric nurse for 5 years, I started at St. Mary's a little over 2 years ago after getting my RN licence, though I was LPN at Boston Children's Hospital while continuing my education towards my RN at Harvard." Sally looked a little surprised and said "You went to Harvard?" Rebecca smiled and said "Yes, It was my top choice for college." Sally said "You don't happen to have a resume with you do you?" Rebecca shook her head "No I honestly didn't plan to stop down here today and was more worried about getting to my mom. Though I do have it online in my cloud so I could e-mail it. I do have my letter of recommendation here in my bag."

     Sally said "Can you e-mail me that resume from your phone right quick?" Rebecca said "Sure it shouldn't take but a moment. I updated it a few days ago when I had decided to relocate." Sally provided her with the e-mail and Rebecca quickly sent it over. Sally pulled it up and read over it and smiled before turning back to them and asking for the letter. Rebecca handed it over and Sally made a copy of it. She said "We are looking to hire two new RNs, sadly qualified candidates that specialize with children are hard to find in small towns. Everything looks great here and you are more than qualified. The question is when would you be able to start? You said your mom is in Surgery? What happened?"

     Rebecca said "She took a bad fall, broke her leg in a few places and her hip. I will need to make a trip back to New York to have my belongings shipped here. Ideally I wasn't looking to start for 2 weeks." Sally smiled and said "That's actually perfect because it will take time to do background checks and all that. If we start the process today, all that should be back and ready for you to start in two weeks." They went over salary, insurance, and paperwork to start the process. After doing all the paperwork , Sally took them around the floor and introduced them to the other staff. After exchanging phone numbers so Sally could contact her once everything was back, they made their way down to the food court for drinks.

      Kyle laughed and said "Well that was quick!" Rebecca smiled and said "Yeah I didn't expect that. Everything should come back clean. I can't believe how easy that was, now I have to start looking on a place to rent." Kyle hugged her to him and said "No hurry on that one. You can stay in the house or the guest house which ever you prefer." Rebecca smiled and said "I wouldn't want to wear out my welcome Kyle." He shook his head and kissed her softly before saying "I already told you I like having you on the ranch." Just as she was about to respond Alice called her cell to tell her they just started surgery. Rebecca passed the news on to Kyle and he said "We will talk about the house stuff later, lets get those drinks and get up there before she finds coffee!" Rebecca laughed as they grabbed the drinks and headed back to wait with Alice.
