Kyle looked at the clock around 6 pm and smiled, he had been speeding a little so they had been making good time. He looked over at Rebecca and said "Baby, were a little ahead of schedule. It's about dinner time and we need to fill up again. Are you ready to stop?" She said "Sure. How much longer do you think we have? How are we ahead of schedule?" Kyle smirked and said "I might have been speeding, a little. I would say probably around 5 hours left. That should put us back to the ranch around midnight or so. Look at the sign right up there and pick a place for dinner."

Rebecca looked at the sign and said "Why don't we just grab some fast food, like Raising Cane's or Chick-fil-a, they are both on this exit. That way we can eat and drive or eat in the truck. There's also a gas station where we can fill up and get a couple more drinks." He smiled and said "Sounds good to me Darlin' I get to keep you to myself that way." He winked at her with the mischievous smirks of his, and she couldn't help but laugh.

They pulled off and grabbed dinner before heading to the gas station. The stop took them around 45 minutes, and Rebecca was glad to be back on the road. She loved traveling but wanted to see the kids badly, they were in Arkansas now and she couldn't wait to cross the Texas border. After they had both eaten their dinner, she picked up the phone and video called her sister.

Alice answered and said "Hey! Where are y'all at?" Rebecca looked over to Kyle and he said "Just passed through Little Rock, Arkansas about 30 minutes ago." Alice said "Cool! What time do you think you will make it in?" Rebecca smiled and said "Kyle thinks we should be home around Midnight. How are the kids? Are they being good? What are Addie's numbers?" Alice laughed and she heard Kyle trying to laugh under his breath, Alice said "The kids are fine Bec. They have been great! The girls have been helping us a lot with the younger ones and yes they are doing their school work too Kyle! Addie's numbers are staying around 96/97 while awake, last night while asleep she dropped to 94."

Rebecca said "I'm glad they are being good. What are they all doing?" She saw Alice move her hand quickly like she was keeping it away from someone, then she laughed before saying "Well the girls are trying to take my phone to say hello, the others are playing in the living room." The phone moved again, then the girls faces appeared and they both started chattering. Rebecca talked to them each a few minutes and Kyle waved from the driver's seat, Then they handed the phone to Tyler and Addie.

Tyler said "Will you be home tonight?" Kyle said "It looks like we will but it will be long after you are in bed Buddy. We will come in and kiss you goodnight when we get there alright?" Tyler nodded his head and said how much he missed them before Addie took the phone and said "Addie love you Becca! Love you Daddy!" They both told the kids they loved them and then ended the call.

Kyle saw a sad far away look on Rebecca's face as she looked out the window. He said "What's wrong Baby?" She smiled sadly and said "I just miss them. I'm ready to be back there with them, I know its only a few hours but they will be in bed so we won't see them until morning."

Kyle kissed the back of her hand and said " You know what's been on my mind these last couple of days?" She shook her head and said "How crazy its been in the few days since we started talking?" He laughed and said "Crazy but wonderful and right. No, that's not it. I've been thinking what a great mother you will be and that look on your face and how you are with them confirms that i'm right. You will be an amazing mother to them." Rebecca couldn't help but smile and leaned over to kiss his cheek.
