        The doctor was just asking Rebecca if there had been any changes as Kyle walked into the room. Kyle said "Doc do we know anything more?" The doctor smiled and said "Blood work is back, she doesn't have any type of infection. Though I believe she is a bit dehydrated and that is why I ordered more IV fluids. The cardiac Surgeon is reviewing her files now, I'm waiting for him to call back with his opinion."

        Kyle nodded his head and said "I was hoping for an answer, I know we just have to wait and see." The doctor clapped his hand on Kyle's shoulder before saying "I know Kyle. If they do have to do surgery again it won't be tonight. I want you two to relax as much as possible and keep the little one calm." He was about to say more when his pager went off, he looked down and said "That's the surgeon. I'll be back shortly."

         Kyle went to Rebecca's side and she stood up so he could sit down , before sliding into his lap. She hugged him and said "How's your mom holding up?" He sighed and said "Upset but they said if she has to have surgery they are coming home." Rebecca said "What about your Aunt?" He said " Mom said she will be okay, her kids are there now. They are just going to do a memorial barbecue in a couple weeks, no funeral. Have you checked on your mom?"

      She smiled and said "Yes, Alice said they are starting her on a different antibiotic. She's doing okay just a bit stir crazy." He squeezed her a little closer and said "You know as stressful as this waiting is, just holding you like this makes it much better." She leaned in and kissed him softly and said "Good, because I love it when you hold me Kyle."

   They heard a knock and the doctor came back in, waving them to stay in the chair when they moved to get up. He pulled over another chair and sat down, before saying "The surgeon agreed we need to open her back up. He saw where her pulmonary valve is leaking, which means we may need to replace it. The first step is a heart cath, which she will do in the morning. You know the drill, the heart cath will take a couple hours. After those results we will have more answers as to what exactly needs to be done. Prepare for at least a week stay at this point, it may be longer depending on what the heart cath says."

    Kyle nodded his head and said "Do we know what time in the morning?" The doctor shook his head and said "Not completely sure, probably around 10 but she could go earlier or later. She wont be able to eat or drink after midnight tonight. Though I expect that won't be a problem at this point, it's already 9 and she's sound asleep. I would expect her to sleep through the night."

     They thanked the doctor before he excused himself to check another patient. Kyle kissed her temple and said "Well it looks like she's heading for another heart surgery and recovery. When are you suppose to start your job?" She yawned and said "Sorry. I'm suppose to check in with her in 2 days and see how the process is going. If all is on track I should start a week after that. If Addie is still in here and recovering i'll just have them push back my start date."

    He smiled and said "Are you sure they will do that?" She said "I'm not sure how they will react but being here is more important Kyle." He grinned and said "I'm glad you feel that way Baby. Why don't we move Tyler over to the smaller couch and stretch out? We both need the rest."

    Rebecca helped get Tyler settled onto the smaller couch in the room before snuggling in next to Kyle. Kyle watched her drift off to sleep and whispered "I sure hope your answer is yes. You've quickly became my world." Little Rebecca wasn't fully asleep and heard every word he said.
