It was about 15 minutes later when Molly came into the room to hand Kyle them phone. She had tears streaking down her cheeks and tried to speak but was hoarse from crying. Kyle took the phone and Molly wrapped herself around him. He choked up and said " Mom?" He could tell his Mom was crying as she said "Hi Honey. I'm glad you are there with the girls." He said "Me too Mom." She sighed and said "K-Kyle.. He's gone. Just a couple of minutes after the girls called, your Aunt came out. The doctor sent her out as he had a third heart attack. They couldn't get him back this time."
Tears found their way down Kyle's cheeks and he swallowed before saying "At least he's out of pain now Mom. Go take care of Aunt Mary and let us know if you need us down there and when the service is." She sighed and said "I will Son. I love you." Kyle said "I love you too Mom. Tell Dad we love him and Aunt Mary." She said "I will Honey." Kyle hung up the phone and squeezed his sister tight. They stood that way until Rebecca led Lucy into the room still hugging her side. As they got closer Lucy looked up and Kyle saw the broken look on his little sister's face. Kyle lifted one arm from Molly and Lucy flew into her big brother's arms sobbing.
It was hours later when they got the girls calmed down enough to go to sleep. Greg and Alice had both headed to bed earlier so they could be up with the little kids. The sun was just coming up over the horizon as Kyle and Rebecca crawled into his bed exhausted. He didn't want to be alone and there was no way Rebecca was going to leave him while he was grieving.
Rebecca woke to little feet in the hallway, glancing over at the clock she realized it was close to 10 am. She smiled as the door pushed open wider and pretended to be asleep. She felt a little hand touch her cheek and heard "My Becca Back." Rebecca opened her eyes and smiled at Addie. She said "Addie why don't we let Daddy sleep. We will go to the living room." Addie smiled, nodded her head and backed up. Rebecca slid out of bed and scooped her up before heading into the living room.
Once the were in better light Rebecca noticed Addie's color was a bit off. Alice saw them walk in and said "Hey Sis. Katie kept y'all some breakfast warming." She smiled and said "Thanks. Hey where is Addie's pulse ox?" Alice gave her a look and rushed back to grab it. Alice came into the room and said "What is it?" Rebecca said "I'm not sure her color is a bit off. I just want to check her, Kyle put the keys to the truck on the table. Can you go grab my Medical bag from the back seat?" Alice nodded and went to retrieve it as asked.
Rebecca smiled down at Addie and said "Ok Baby Girl let's get a number on you." Addie put out her finger and Rebecca laughed. As they waited she said "Did you eat breakfast Addie?" Addie shook her head and said "Not Hungry." She smiled and said "Did you go potty this morning?" Katie walked in and looked at her checking Addie's numbers. She said "What is it Becca?" She smiled and said "Not sure yet. Was she wet when she woke up? Anything abnormal?" Katie said "She was wet but not as soaked as usual. She didn't want to eat this morning, which she usually eats well. I just figured she wasn't hungry yet and would let me know when she was."
Alice came back in with a bag and said "It took me a few minutes, here you go." She looked over at Katie and said "Can you get me her notebook?" Katie came back a moment later with the notebook and pen they used for taking down her numbers. Rebecca took it and started jotting down observations.

She looked up at Katie and asked "Has she drank anything this morning?" Katie said "I gave her a cup of milk about an hour ago." Rebecca said "How much did she drink?" Katie went off in search of the cup and brought it back a few moments later, handing it to Rebecca. She frowned and said "How was she this morning? Did she sleep later than normal? Was she acting tired?" Katie said "She woke up around 830, she's usually up by 7. She hasn't been as playful this morning." Rebecca again frowned and started writing.

Rebecca laughed and said "Your heart sounds like a choo choo train. Chug Chug Chug." Addie giggled and said "Chug." Rebecca touched her nose and said "That's right little girl. Now tell me do you hurt anywhere?" Addie said "No Hurt." Rebecca said "Are you tired? Like you need a nap?" Addie said "Just small tired. No Nap." All three women laughed and Rebecca said "Alright Baby. I need to run back upstairs, Alice is going to take you to play with Bella. Alright?"
