Chapter 35

Felicity pov
Ava sat on my bed with me, she was doing a mortified French braid since my hair was short.

"So your parents, your brother and his fiancé are coming by today. Do I need to get you dressed?" Ava asked.

"A bra would at least be nice." I said.

She got up and got me the bra. Harry came in.

"Good morning, Darling." He said as he came over and kissed me.

"Good morning." I said.

"How are you and the little one doing?" Harry asked as he put his hand on my stomach.

"We're fine." I said.

"Granny wanted to know if you were coming to Sandringham for Christmas."

"I can't Harry. It would require me to sit up for to long." I said.

"Alright, I'll let her know." He said. He pulled a chair over and sat next to the bed.

"So what are you doing today?" I asked.

"Meetings, engagements." He said.

"We'll have fun." I said.

"I'll text you through out the day." Harry gave me a kiss then kiss my swollen stomach.

"Take it easy on Mummy." He whispered to my stomach.

I felt our baby kick. I put my hand over the spot they'd kicked.

"They heard you." I said.

Harry smiled. And kissed me again. "take care Felicity."

"Bye Harry." I said. He chuckled and left. Ava came back in the room.

Martha came in, "your parents, your Brother and his fiancé are here." She said.

"Send them in." I said as I propped myself up.

My family came in. "Hello Felicity." Mum said as she came over to me.

"Hi mum." I said as I sat up enough to hug her.

Dad and Jamie also hugged me.

"How are you?" Mum asked.

"I'm alright," I said as I rested my hands on my stomach.

"My little one is very active." I said.

"You and Clayton were very active in the womb." Mom said as she put her hand on my stomach.

My baby kicked her hand. "Definitely a fighter." Mom smiled.

"Do you think you baby will continue the soldier legacy?" Clayton asked.

"Who knows. Is she does she does. Harry and I won't stop her."

"So you know it's a girl?" Mom asked with a smile.

"No we don't we want it to be a surprise, I just have my suspicions." I smiled. "All mothers do." Mom said.

I spent most of the morning with my family till they decided it was time for them to go.

Around noon I had an examination. Shelby came in and did an ultrasound.

"Well your baby's healthy." She smiled.

"She's definitely active." I said as I rubbed my stomach.  I felt a hard kick on my upper back.

"Careful." I said to my baby. I got another kick and everything went black.

Ava pov
I stood behind Shelby as she did Felicity's ultrasound.

"Well your baby's healthy." Shelby said.

"She's definitely active." Felicity said as she rubbed her stomach after Shelby wiped the gel off.

"Careful." Felicity said to stomach.

"Felicity!" Shelby said.

I looked over she she was unconscious. Shelby took the pillow away from behind Felicity And rolled her onto her side.

"What can I do to help?" I asked.

"I've got it. I think you could let Martha know." Shelby said. As she started rubbing her back. 

I left and went and found Martha in her office.

"Is something wrong?" She asked as she got up.

"Felicity lost consciousness. Shelby's taking care of it." I said.

"I'm calling Harry." She said.

Harry pov
I sat in a meeting about the next Invictus games. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. I got it out stealthily and looked at it. I was getting a call from Martha.

"I'm sorry but I need to take this. I'll just be a moment." I said as I got up.

I knew something bad was happening if Martha was calling me. I went around corner and found a private place to answer my phone.

"Is everything alright?" I asked.

"Felicity lost consciousness after her ultrasound." Martha said.

"What! Is she alright?" I asked.

"Shelby is taking care of Felicity." Martha said.

"She said it's common for paralyzed women to loose consciousness due to the baby kicking the spot they broke their back."

"What?" I asked.

"She passed out from the pain." Shelby said in the background.

"I'm my meeting is almost done I can be over as soon as it's over." I said.

I went back to my room and was impaciente for the rest of the meeting. As soon as it was over I went to Kensington.

I ran to my room and threw open the door. Felicity was awake.

"Hey." She said softly.

Shelby, Martha and Ava were still in the room. I went over to Felicity and knelt down at her bedside.

"How do you feel?" I asked dreadfully concerned about my wife.

"I'm better. She's just kicked the wrong spot." Felicity smiled.

"I was worried about you." I said as I took her hand.

"I'm fine now." She smiled.

"Thank you Shelby." I said.

"Not a problem." Shelby said.
