Walks, Talks and Goodnights

After a few minutes of awkward questions from Seb and Soph, not to mention teasing from Sebastian, we were sort of back to normal. Well, Seb and Soph were giggling like school kids, as usual, and I was spending my time trying to keep my Finn in check. "Kimi!" I whispered at him, he wouldn't keep his hands to himself! And at my reaction he chuckled. "I cannot help it, I think that you are beautiful" he murmured into my ear as he nuzzled his nose into my neck. I couldn't help but smile at his compliment, and goosebumps sprung up all over my skin at his tender contact. He lifted his head to look at me, that smile made my stomach swirl a million times over.

We spent the rest of the evening chilling out and drinking. Laughing at Seb's silly jokes and us girls going down a floor to dance. It was a night we all needed after the hectic days of the past weekend and its race. Tons had happened, some of which I couldn't wait to forget, whilst others I wanted to remember forever.   

Our first day in Italy had proved to be a memorable one, and in more ways than one. But we knew we still had a lot of work to do whilst we were here, and it was time for us to head back to our hotel to rest up for the next day.

"Will you walk back with me?" Kimi asked as we made our way out of the club. I looked back to him seeing what I think was a nervous expression upon the drivers face. Huh, I'd never seen that before. "uh yeah, okay" I nodded making him smile at me a little. Why did this just make me become incredibly nervous?  

We said goodnight to Seb and Sophia, as they climbed into a taxi, and then we set off on the walk back to the hotel ourselves. It was a really pleasant evening which was good as it was going to take us about half an hour to walk back. My feet weren't going to thank me tomorrow...

As I was about to ask Kimi if everything was alright, I felt him gently take my hand. He wrapped his fingers between mine and gave my hand a squeeze. I couldn't help but smile at his sweet gesture, seeing an altogether different side to him. "why did you kiss me inside?" he finally spoke after 5 minutes of walking. okay, so the talk was happening...

I sighed, knowing I was going to have to open up to him a lot more. "Because I knew we had unfinished business from Silverstone, and honestly...I didn't like that woman in there trying to make a move on you" I blushed as I confessed my motives. Kimi didn't help as he burst into laughter. I shoved him playfully with my shoulder. "Well I told a guy to leave you alone also."

"when?!" I gasped at his confession. "when you were in the bathroom. I had been watching him all night. He did not take his eyes off of you. He needed to back off" he said, making me blush a little more. "oh really?"

"yes. I was not losing you again. He needed to keep his hands off." he said, frowning at, I assumed, the memory of the guy looking at me. I had to say I was flattered though. I grinned at him, "didn't peg you as the jealous type Kimi" I teased. "mwoah," he shrugged, "I guess when a certain womans comes along, it may happen. But uh, I am more cautious now" he told me, I understood that. And he obviously knew I was too. "It is not always a bad thing. But when that right person comes along, I think you cannot help but let them in"

It didn't seem like it had taken us too long to get back to the hotel, and in good time too, as the heavens opened and the rain fell harshly. I ran into the hotel lobby, dragging Kimi along behind me. I frantically pushed the call button for the lift, Kimi laughing at me as I did so. "shut up and cover me up!" I told him, pulling him closer to me as we waited for the lift, praying no one else came to share it. Kimi didn't hesitate in pressing himself up against me, gladly covering my 'modesty' as the rain soaked my dress, rendering it completely see-through! Luckily the lift came rather promptly and I dashed inside, followed by a very amused Kimi. I wasted no time in pressing for my floor so the doors closed sharpish. 

Kimi pressed for his floor too and then turned back to me, a huge pearly white smile on his face. I rolled my eyes, typical men. "It is a good look I think" he smirked, eyeing the sodden white material that clung to every inch of me. "yes, yes, you enjoy yourself there" I narrowed my eyes at him, making him chuckle more, "I am. very much." he replied, then moving over to me, lifting his hands to my cheeks. 

He distracted me completely, pressing my back up against the wall of the lift, and claiming my lips with his own. I melted into him, wrapping my arms round the back of his neck, pulling him into me even more. His kisses were soft and sweet, matching his tender touch. I was like putty in his hands. PING! 

My eyes flew open at the noise, and to my relief it was just the doors closing. I looked up at the counter to see we were leaving my floor. I didn't even hear the doors ping open! "oh we've missed my floor" I sighed to Kimi, who actually hadn't moved an inch. Apart from his hands leaving my face as I looked round him to the front of the lift. 

"It is ok. You can dry off in my room" he whispered softly to me, looking deep into my eyes as his fingers gently played with the material of my dress that hung slightly off my shoulder....
