Josh watched as Tyler devoured the crunchy tacos one after the other, barley stopping to breath.
He finally was done, and he looked up at Josh's face, knowing what he was going to say.
"Tyler what the hell happened?" Josh said softly. He wished he could just help their, smooth out the wrinkles of sadness in the beautiful boys head. He knew his words never had and never would hold the power of Tyler's, but he tried his best.

"Tyler, you are more than my friend. Like a brother, you know how my mind works better than anyone, you are the one that has always made me laugh, you will never fail to amaze me with your strength. That being said, you are devastated, I'm scared. Scared of what might happen, what has happened, so please, please just let me in. Tell me what's wrong ty."
He spoke softly, staring into Tyler's face which looked so different when he was sad. Tragically beautiful, josh decided, like all poetic warriors tended to look.
"Jenna cheated on me." He said simply, barely moving his mouth.
Suddenly josh understood the brokenness in Tyler's voice. Even as he watched, the younger mans lip trembled and large glossy tears poured from the corners of his large doe eyes.
"Hey, hey shhhhhh... it's alright ty, I'm right here ty. I'll never leave. C'mere" josh soothed.

Tyler pressed his wet face into the crook of joshes neck, small widowed escaping his lips.
"I just don't understand," Tyler sobbed, his voice breaking, "I loved her josh, I loved her, I loved her..." he repeated over and over again into Josh's shirt. Josh ran his large hands through the mans cropped hair, then rested his chin on Tyler's head.
"I know ty, I know." He whispered. Tyler groaned, more tears pouring out.
Josh felt so impossibly close to Tyler in that moment, like they were bound together with ropes of caring. He sighed heavily, feeling Tyler's sadness sink into him as well.
"I just don't know what I did to deserve this- I mean there is a god up there I think. Why would he make me go through this josh? She promised, for better for worse, I feel like I've lost the key to my heart josh, and now I'll never open it again." He choked out.
Josh felt those words pierce his heart, sending spears of driving pain into him.

"I don't know if there's a god or not Tyler, but there's one thing I'm sure of, and that's that I love and care about you. Maybe this was meant to happen, maybe she wasn't your soul mate, just a woman meant to hurt you, which will make you stronger in the long run.
You may have lost the key to your heart, but I, Joshua William dun intend to search every inch of this hellish world we live in until I find that damn key. Do you want to know why? Because you are the most worthy person of love I know, you are truly an angel fallen down, living in a world of people who don't know what it's like to be as kind and true and strong as you." Josh paused, staring at Tyler, then reached up to wipe the tears from his cheeks.
"My heart hurts josh," Tyler said between large gulps of air,"I just watched my marriage break beyond compare. It's over, I'll never have Jenna again."
He paused once again, looking up from his interwoven fingers which he had been staring at while talking.
"You know what? I'm glad I saw, she could have lied to me for months about this!" Tyler said, fire ignited in his brown eyes.
"But I'm going to miss her, god I'm going to miss her josh."
Josh's sighed, wishing that Tyler would say those things about him. He wished he could be the force behind someone's life, wished he had the power, wished he was stronger, wished he could charge the beautiful happy heart Tyler had.
"Tyler I'm so sorry. You'll find another girl to love." He sighed internally as he said the world "girl", wishing it was "girl or boy" instead.
"You think?" Tyler said hopefully, someone of he worry lines he had developed over the last few days dissipating.
"Yes. Let me tell you how it's going to happen ty, let me tell you..."
Tyler looked at him curiously, then curled against Josh's warm body.
"The day will be warm, and there will be that crisp green feeling in the air, like the smell of fresh mint you know? The clouds will be cut outs in the birds egg blue sky, and the smell of wet dirt will be in the air. It won't be a special day, nothing out of the ordinary. You'll be wearing sweatpants, and your hair won't be laying down flat. You'll probably be heading off to the studio to record a song, most likely running on not enough sleep. You'll see them walking toward you, and the yellow sunlight will catch the outline of their hair and make it glow. Everything will slow down, like it does in the movies, and it'll just be the two of you, and you'll know Tyler, you'll know you've found the one."
He glanced down and found Tyler's eyes closed, and faint snores escaping his soft pink lips.
Josh couldn't look away from the beauty that was Tyler, he just sat, looking at his gentle peaceful face in the dim light of the hotel room.
Eventually he leaned down, pressing his lips to Tyler's forehead, feeling fire burning on his lips where they met Tyler's skin.
"Sleep well Tyler."
