A/n- One of the last chapters!! That's Mackenzie's wedding dress by the way....^^^

«One week later»
Mackenzie straightened the white, glittering dress on herself, wondering if she looked okay. She sighed, looking back behind her to see the stark white walls and uninviting hospital bustle behind her. This isn't the ideal place for a wedding, but this would have to do......

"C'mon Niall. It's okay. We'll help you. Okay?" Harry reassured Niall. Niall sighed, but grabbed onto Liam's neck anyway, letting Liam pick him up out of the bed and set him gently in the wheelchair.
Niall groaned but didn't complain, trying to live with the horrible pain erupting in his chest from being moved.
"You alright?" Harry asked gently, touching Niall's arm. Harry didn't like seeing his friend in so much pain. He didn't like seeing his friends get married in a hospital either, but he knew it was going to happen. And...love was love, no matter who you are or where you got married.
"I'm fine." Niall answered for about the tenth time today. He loved his friends, to death almost (no pun intended), but he didn't like the way they looked at him like he was a sick puppy. Especially his family.......
"You sure?" Liam asked, having to have confirmation. Niall nodded, waving him off weakly, rubbing his temples with his fingers before tracing the oxygen tube connected to his nose.
A nurse stood behind them quietly, waiting to give Niall his medicine that would take away some of the pain, definitely not all. She wished he would get better, but knew as well as Niall that it wasn't likely. Unless there's a miracle.
"Can't I at least wear something other than this...?" Niall grumbled angrily, pushing Liam off him roughly, his Irish flare coming out through his sickness. His white hospital gown was obviously not his first choice for wedding attire. Harry and Liam made eye contact with Louis, who shrugged.
"I'll see what I can do." The nurse said as she handed Niall his drugs. He nodded and took them without a fit, thanking her. "No trouble Mr Horan." She replied, as expected.
"Call me Niall." He said quietly, sighing. The nurse blushed and left, going to get a doctor and a couple more nurses that would help Niall change into a suit at least.

"I didn't want it like this." Mackenzie said quietly. Kendall looked down at the girl with the brown curly hair, sitting on the floor in her wedding dress.
"What do you mean?" Kendall asked as she moved the IV stand over to stand closer to her. Mackenzie sighed, shaking her head and willing the tears to stay back.
"You wouldn't...understand." Mackenzie whispered, playing with a bead on her beautiful gown. Kendall smiled cutely before lowering herself to the ground and sitting down carefully, but not without groaning under the pain.
"I know I can't remember anything.....but I remembered you. Bits and pieces...that is. I remember you, the first time I met you....in the restaurant, when you creepily stalked me in the bathroom." Kendall said with a smile. Mackenzie laughed a little, not looking up. "I knew that you knew. Instantly. You can kind of tell sometimes......" Kendall admitted. Mackenzie nodded, knowing what she was getting at and looked up. "The whole point of this is....I remember some things....and...I'm a good listener....if you want to talk...." Kendall said quietly. Mackenzie smiled putting her hand on Kendall's. Kendall's heart leapt to her throat and she flinched at someone touching her. Mackenzie caught on and pulled her hand back to scratch her neck awkwardly.
"You remembered that?" Mackenzie asked in astonishment. Kendall nodded, fiddling with a tube coming from her arm.
"Yeah. Umm....Harry didn't tell me much....what's happening?" Kendall asked suddenly. Mackenzie frowned.
"You remember Niall?" Mackenzie asked her, to which Kendall nodded in reply. "He's my fiancé..well, boyfriend when you knew him......but he has lung cancer.......anything?" Mackenzie asked, feeling weird for retelling her things she already knew.
Kendall reached deep into her mind, concentrating on the simple first, but then trying to see the bigger issues as she went on.
"Kind of......" she replied, trying to make Mackenzie feel better. But in reality, she had no clue about anything, too many pieces were missing, and the dilemma with Harry was getting to her, frustrating her to the point of screaming. She just wanted out of the hospital. She wanted to go home, and although she didn't know where that was...or with who it was.....she still wanted it. Oh, how badly she wanted it. She didn't understand it, all the feelings she was feeling were confusing. Kendall didn't know what they meant, and it irritated her.
She had become more silent over the past week, having these random fits of trying desperately to piece things together, but failing. Harry was so worried about her, but after she fell asleep on him, she had frozen him out completely, needing time to sort things out in her head. Perhaps that was what was breaking Harry the most.
"Kendall? Are you listening to me?" Mackenzie asked quietly, snapping Kendall from her mind and to attention.
"Huh? Oh...sorry....no." Kendall whispered, still partly in her head.
"Kenz?" Britt asked, poking her head through the door and frowning when she saw Mackenzie and Kendall talking. She was all for the idea of Kendall remembering things and letting her talk things out, but she wasn't so sure Mackenzie was the one to help her do so. Her friend was in a state of sadness no one else could understand.
"Hmmm?"
"You might want to see this...." she trailed off. Mackenzie sighed heavily and got up, straightening her white, beaded dress and following Britt through the hallways.
