Monday
Katherine's POV
It was after school and I was on my way to homework club to finish my essay for Business. Daniel was meeting me there to help me out.
As I got upstairs, I saw Jessica walk up to me.
I sighed internally. What now?
'Hey you.' She glared at me.
'Oh, I'm sorry, are you talking to me?' I said innocently.
'Obviously, stupid skank.' She replied.
'Who the fuck do you think you're calling a stupid skank?' I retorted. 'Bitch, you sleep with everyone. You're a tart.'
'Ha, says the one.' She stepped close to me, trying to intimidate me. 'I saw you talking to Hoffman at the party.'
'... And your point is...?' I was confused.
'My point is, bitch, that he's mine. Everyone knows it.'
'Yeah? Please get to the actual point, I've got places to be.' I said impatiently.
'You think you're so cool now, don't you, because you went to a party instead of being your usual nerdy self.' She hissed. 'My point is, just because you're acting like you're cool, doesn't mean you can get any guy you want!'
She stepped closer, getting right in my face. 'Stay away from Hoffman, or there'll be serious consequences.'
'Right, first of all,' I started. 'Get out of my face, your breath smells of the total rubbish you spout from it. And secondly, I don't want to get involved with any guys anyway, I don't date. So, if you're jealous or worried that me and Hoffman are gonna have something together, don't. I'm not interested in him.'
'Like I said, stay away from him, or you'll regret it.' She warned.
'Hey, is everything okay?' Danny suddenly appeared. 'Are you alright K?'
'Yeah, Jess was just leaving.' I glared at her.
'I've said what I needed. Bye k.' She said and walked off.
I growled under my breath. Nobody but my best friends called me K.
'What did she want?' Danny demanded.
'She saw me with Hoffman at the party, just talking to him.' I muttered. 'She told me to stay away from him, even though I'm not planning on going near him anyway. He seems to social for my liking.'
'Hoffman?' He repeated. 'As in, Austin Hoffman? Besides, why is it Jess's problem, she's his ex.'
'What?'
'They were together a year ago, but then broke up after two weeks, so it's really non of her business. Seems like someone's jealous.' He mused.
'I'm not talking to him anyway.' I said. 'Anyways, speaking of business, are you helping me with my essay, or not?'
'Yep, coming!' He playfully put an arm around my shoulders as we walked to the library.
