I was sat in my room, writing up some notes when there was a knock at the door.
I knew Ramona was at Kyle's dorm, so I called out 'come in!'

It was Nick. I tensed up. I still wasn't over our breakup and I was worried that he was back for a confrontation.

'The psycho bitch isn't around, is she?' He asked, referring to Ramona, as nothing had happened.

I kept my eyes on my notes. 'No, the psycho bitch isn't here. She's with Kyle.'

He hesitated in the doorway. 'Oh right.'

I looked up. 'Why, do you want to see her? Well she's not here, so, bye.'

'No, like I'd want to see her again.' He said sarcastically. 'Actually, I want to talk to you.'

I looked up at him in suspicion. 'What do you want Nick? You've made your feelings pretty clear so there's no reason for us to talk.'

'Listen...' He looked uncomfortable. 'About what I said. I never meant any of it. I was angry and I was completely unreasonable. So I'm sorry.'

I raised an eyebrow. 'It's a bit late  for that, isn't it?'

'Please K, just hear me out-'

Then I snapped.

'K? K?! Since when in this conversation, did I ask you to call me K? You lost that privilege when you broke up with me and disrespected me!' I yelled.

'Will you please calm down?!' He asked, exasperated. 'I came to talk to you, so can you please just listen?'

I glared at him, silently waiting for him to continue.

'When I broke up with you, I wish I could take back what I said. And I know I can't, so I deeply regret it. I know you're angry, so I'm truly sorry. I was wrong, you're not a whore. Maybe a liar, yes, and a bit of a bitch but I didn't have to say it. So I'm sorry.' He explained.

I sighed. There was no point in wasting my time and energy being angry at him. After all we'd been through together...

'Fine, I forgive you.' I shrugged. 'Forget about it.' I carried on with my notes, hoping he'd take the hint, and leave.

'I was wondering if we could start again. You and me.'

I put my pen down slowly and looked at him in disbelief. 'Are you fucking serious?'

'I miss you Katherine.' He looked sincere. 'My biggest regret was losing you. I think about you day and night and I can't stand it.'

I clenched my teeth. 'You have got to be joking. Do you really think I'm going back to you after that?' I hissed.

He looked confused now. 'But I thought you forgave me.'

'Forgave you, yes. It doesn't mean I want you back!' I shook my head. 'You have no idea how much you hurt me when you broke up with me, do you? I'm sorry Nick, but I don't want another relationship after that. Not with you, not with anyone.'

He took a deep breath and nodded. 'It's okay. I understand. And I don't blame you either. Would it be pushing it if I said could we still be friends?'

I smiled wryly. 'No. I suppose we can try to be civil.'

He looked relieved and nodded again.

A text message from Ramona flashed up onto my phone screen:
I'm heading back bitch. You wanna watch a movie?
Love ya

I grinned. 'Erm, Ramona's coming back. You'd better go before she comes back. She's still pissed off at you.'

'Yeah, I think I'd better.' He agreed. 'See you tomorrow.' He disappeared from the room.

I texted back:
Sure, I'll watch a movie with you. Bit bored anyway
Love ya too bitch
