Katherine's POV
Should I tell him?
I hadn't spoken to him in years... This would be the first time.
Was I ready for that?
I sighed. Just do it, Katherine.
I stood up and walked out of the office to see Nick, picking his coat up and finishing a call.
'Nick.'
He turned around. 'Hi... Katherine.' I couldn't help but admire how he just casually addressed me instead of calling me Dr Calvin. Well we had known each-other since we were teenagers.
'Leaving early?' I asked casually.
'Erm, yes. Got a family problem at home.' He told me.
Oh. I forgot. He had a family. Well, if that counted just him and his son, Will. I'd heard that Rebecca had divorced Nick and it was around the same time she'd resigned from Calimov.
'Did you need me for something?' He enquired.
'Good news. I've recovered Mary's deleted files on Project Eternity.' I told him.
'Project Eternity?' He repeated, looking confused.
'You must have heard of the legendary Project Eternity.' I said, with a hint of sarcasm. I was confused. Hadn't everyone heard of it?
'Can't say it rings a bell...' He replied. 'So, you say you've... recovered these files?'
'Come with me!' I walked back into the office. I had no idea why I was involving him in this, when it really had nothing to do with him.
But then again, he was my old school friend and ex. He was more than just an employee.

Fanfic'I am so sorry!' The dark haired asshole apologised as my books tumbled to the floor. 'Whatever.' I sighed and picked them up. 'Next time, look where you're going.' 'I am, really sorry.' He looked genuinely concerned. 'Are you alright?' 'Yeah, I'm...
