Gone too far

The next morning
Katherine's POV

I woke up to bright sunlight filling the room.
I squinted in the light, looking around me.
Austin was softly sleeping next to me.
I sat up quickly.
Whoa. Head rush. I slowly laid back down.
Austin woke up. 'Morning beautiful.' He smiled and kissed me. I kissed him back.

'I haven't had a good night's sleep like that in ages.' He remarked.

'Yeah, I agree.' I grinned. 'I think last night played a part.'

He laughed and got out of bed. He put on some jeans and a t-shirt. 'I'll be in the kitchen gorgeous.'

I smiled and wrapped the sheet around myself then I went to the bathroom to take a quick shower. I was a bit sore in places, but then again, last night was my first time so I wasn't surprised.
When I was done, I wrapped myself in a towel and got out.
Then I realised I didn't have a spare change of clothes with me.
'Austin!' I yelled.

He knocked on the door a few seconds later. 'What's up babe?'

'I haven't got a spare change of clothes with me.' I told him.

'One second.' He said.

I waited as I heard him go and then come back. 'Babe, I've put some of my sister's clothes outside the door. She's only a year older so I'm sure they'll be alright. She won't mind either.'

'Thanks.' I said and I heard him walk away.
I opened the door slightly and brought the clothes into the bathroom.
They were some white skinny jeans with a black tank top and a white jacket.
When I tried them on, they fit perfectly.
I'd get changed when I got home and return the clothes.

I rejoined Austin in the kitchen. When he saw me, he hugged me. 'Nobody could ever replace you Katherine.' He said softly.

'Aw, I'm glad.' I smiled up at him.

Daniel's POV

I dialled Natalie's number and waited.
She answered after a few seconds. 'Hello?'

'Hey Nat, it's Daniel.' I said. 'Is Katherine with you?'

'Erm, no, she's at Hoffman's.' She said.

'What?' I was confused. 'I thought she was staying with you.'

'No, she was staying at Hoffman's. So they could spend time together.' She hinted.

I had no trouble getting the meaning. 'Oh my god, she didn't!'
'Yep.' She said. 'Anyways, I have to go Danny.'

'Yeah, bye.' I said distractedly and hung up.

Katherine had gone too​ far now. What the hell was she playing at?
I texted her:
Come to my house ASAP x

I needed to talk some sense into Katherine.

She arrived. 'Hey Danny, what's up?'

'I'll tell you what's up.' I thundered. 'What the hell do you think you're doing?'

'I'm sorry, what?' She looked confused.

'Natalie told me what you got up to last night!'

She blushed. 'And that is really none of your business.'

'Are you kidding? You've only​ been with Hoffman a week! And you've already lost your virginity to him! Have you completely and utterly lost your mind?!'

'Stop raising your voice.' She winced. 'I don't know why you're making such a big deal of it.'

I stared at her. 'Are you kidding me? Please tell me you at least used protection.'

'Yes, we did, for your information!' She snapped. 'I'm not that stupid!'

'Are you sure you're not?' I shook my head. 'What the hell happened to Miss innocent and nerdy? Why are you doing this? Because I'm drawing up a blank.'

She sat on the sofa, looking at the floor. 'Because of Nick.' She said quietly.

I sat down next to her. 'What do you mean?'

'I've fallen in love with him. Nick, I mean. And he's dating Rebecca. I've never even met her and I'm jealous of her.' She admitted.

'Wow, I didn't know you felt that way.' I was surprised. But I felt sorry for her. It must be hard for her now, hearing Nick talk about Rebecca all the time.

'Plus,' She added. 'I like being reckless. It feels awesome to break away from my nerdy, boring routine and let loose.' She grinned and I couldn't help grinning back.

'Look, K.' I put a comforting hand on her shoulder. 'Here's a bit of advice. I get that you're feeling upset, jealous and bitter about Nick and Rebecca. But being reckless and​ sleeping with another guy is not the answer to your problems. Okay? You can't use Hoffman like that. It's not fair on him.'
