1 week later
Katherine's POV

It was after college and I was in my room on my laptop.
I was doing some research out of boredom.
I literally had nothing to do, that I might start asking my teachers for extra coursework.

A message came up on my Facebook from Nick. I clicked on it:

Hey K, is it okay if I come over now? Xx

I sent back:

Sure x

His reply:

See you soon xx

I tidied up my room as it was a bit cluttered.
Then I quickly brushed my hair, applied a bit of mascara and lipgloss and then straightened out my outfit.
I only made an effort because I liked Nick. I didn't deny it anymore.
And he also liked me.
The problem? I was too awkward to ask him out.

Nick arrived in ten minutes. I heard him and my mum talking and then he came upstairs. 'Hey.' He smiled when he saw me.

'Hi.' I smiled back. 'How are you?'
'You only saw me a couple hours ago.' He laughed. 'Actually, I wanted to ask you something.' He fully entered my room and sat on the bed next to me.

'Go on.' I nodded at him to continue.

'Katherine. I really like you.' He started. 'You're beautiful, caring, sarcastic sometimes (he laughed at this part), cute, funny and smart. I love everything about you, even the bad parts. Because all your imperfections make you who you are, and to me, that makes you perfect. So, I wanted to ask you this. Katherine Victoria Jasmine Calvin, will you be my girlfriend?'

I smiled. 'Nick, you are so cliche. But that's what I love about you. So yes. I will be your girlfriend Nicholas Clarke.'

He gave me the biggest smile in return and hugged me.
And somehow we ended up kissing very passionately.
When we stopped, he said, 'I am probably the luckiest guy right now.'

'Yes, you are.' I grinned cheekily.

'Wow, very humble.' He shook his head, laughing. 'So, as a first date, how about we go to that Italian restaurant tonight? Daniel said it was your favourite.'

'Are you serious?' I stared at him.

'I'm sorry.' He backtracked. 'If I'm going too fast, then it's cool.'

'Nick, you're the best!' I threw my arms around him. 'What time?'

'Erm, is 8:00 alright?' He grinned.

'Yeah, it's absolutely fine!' I agreed.

'Erm, I'd best go. But I'll see you tonight, yeah?' He asked.

'Yeah. See you.' I nodded. He kissed me before he left.
I had to admit, Nick's kisses were way better than Hoffman's any day. They were more sweet.
