A few weeks later
Katherine's POV

I got up and went downstairs.
These dreams were really starting to piss me off.
I'd had another dream of me and Nick; I'd been having these dreams for a while now. I couldn't stop thinking about that argument we'd had. We hadn't spoken since, and I was about to talk to him at that party me and Austin were at, but then Rebecca turned up, ruining my chances of sorting things out with Nick.

Anger filled me at the thought of Rebecca. I was straight up jealous of what she had with Nick. Things were going great for me and Nick 'til she turned up. Okay true, I hadn't spoke to him about what Joe and Daniel said about him liking me, but he hadn't really approached me about it either. And now look where that got us. Heartbroken.

Well... one of us. Nick was happy, with Saint Rebecca. I believed what Willow had said about Rebecca being a fake bitch. She was innocent on the outside, but I had a feeling she wasn't as innocent as she made out. And my instincts about people were usually pretty good. Though sometimes I couldn't tell what someone was really like, because they hid their true selves really well.

My phone rang as I got downstairs.
It was Austin. I pressed answer.
'Hey baby.' I smiled.

'Hey gorgeous.' He said. 'You wanna come over to mine? I'm bored and doing nothing today.'

'Sure, why not?' I agreed. 'I'll just get some breakfast and get dressed then I'll come.'

'See you later beautiful.'

'Bye.' I smiled and hung up.

I entered the kitchen where mum was already.
'Morning.' She said. 'Got any plans today?'

'Yeah, I'm seeing Austin after breakfast.' I told her, pouring myself a coffee.

She frowned slightly. 'Katherine, I know he's your boyfriend, but don't you think you spend too much time with him? You're forgetting your other friends you know.'

'Not really, I spend time with Georgia and Natalie all the time.' I shrugged.

'No, I mean, your old friends.' She said. 'Joe and Daniel. And Nick. Remember them? You used to be so close.'

'Me, Daniel and Joe are still close. We see each other at every party. And me and Nick aren't speaking anymore.' I shrugged.

She narrowed her eyes. 'Why aren't you and Nick talking?'

'Long story. But I'm not abandoning my old friends.' I said quickly.

'You're forgetting me as well you know.' She said. 'I hardly see you these days.'

'I'm sorry mum.' I said. 'I genuinely mean it. I feel bad for not spending time with you.'

'Well you can make up for it, by going shopping with me. Cancel your plans with Austin.'

'But mum-'

'No.' She interrupted. 'I won't have any arguments. Your coming shopping, whether you like it or not.'

'Fine.' I sighed. 'Give me a minute.'

I walked into the living room, calling Austin.
He answered after a few seconds. 'You're ready already?' He said in disbelief.

'No.' I sighed. 'I'm sorry babe, but I can't come to yours.'

'What? Are you serious?' He complained. 'Why not?'

'Because my mum wants me to come shopping with her.' I explained.

'Aw, mummy's girl.' He teased.

'It's not funny, Austin.' I frowned.

'No, it really isn't.' He sounded unhappy. 'Well what else am I supposed to do?'

'I don't know, use your imagination.' I said sarcastically.

'Fine, whatever.'

'Babe, don't be mad at me.' I replied.

'I'm not, it's fine.' He didn't sound like it was fine. 'Bye then.'

'Bye.' I hung up.

I rolled my eyes and smiled wryly. He'd get over it in 5 minutes.

I got some breakfast and got dressed. Then me and mum went to town.

Later

I'd actually had a great time with mum. We had a laugh in New Look when we tried on high heels.
But I did get a nice pair of black ankle boots.

We got home and I put my shopping bags in my room. Then I went downstairs. 'Mum, can I go to Austin's?'

'Go on then!' She sighed.

I rushed out without bothering to text him. I'd surprise him instead.
And I had spare keys that he'd given me so I could easily surprise him.

I soon arrived at his and unlocked the door. It was very quiet inside.
I was about to go into the living room to see if he was there, when he came downstairs.

He was just in his boxers.
'Katherine? What are you doing here?' He asked.

'I thought you wanted me to come.' I rolled my eyes.

'Wasn't the door locked?' He asked nervously.

'Spare keys, remember?' I held them up.

He cursed under his breath.
'What, don't you want me here?' I frowned.

I suddenly noticed a girl come downstairs.
She stood beside Austin. It was Jessica.
She was wearing just her underwear.
It was obvious what they'd been up to.
I stared at Austin in hurt and disbelief.
'Katherine? What are you doing here?' She smirked.

'Babe, go upstairs, I'll meet you there.' Austin said to her.

Babe??

She kissed his jaw. 'Okay. Don't take too long.'

She disappeared upstairs.

I shook my head. 'How could you?' I whispered.

'Easily.' He shrugged like it wasn't a big deal. 'You weren't here, so I was bored.'

'So you thought you'd cheat on me??' I hissed. 'You absolute wanker.'

'I've been called worse.' He smirked. 'Like your boyfriend.'

'Jessica doesn't know what you're really like, does she?' I found myself getting angry. 'I'll tell her. Believe me, I will.' I glared. 'I'll tell her right now.'

'Yes, I'm sure you will.' He said, clearly enjoying the situation. 'But where's the fun in that?'

'You'll find out. Right now.' I tried to push past him to go upstairs, but he pinned me against the wall.

'Tell her, and I'll tell people you paid me to have sex with you.' He threatened.

'You're a bastard.' I hissed in his face.

'And you're a desperate opportunistic whore.' He smiled nastily.

I pushed him away and left the house, fighting back tears.
