With Loves Last Breath

Adi

"ADIANEZ GET OVER HERE!!!!!!!"

Adi flinched, the volume of Elizabeth voice not helping her headache at all.

"Yes mam?"

"We have a problem." she growled, looking out the window.

"Brianna is nearby. And she's trying to track someone.

"She's probably looking for Magnus so she can kill him and take his powers." Adi muttered.

"Yes, well, I need you to go deal with her. Don't kill her, just make her go away."

"WHAT?!?!" Adi gasped.

"Your making me, a teenage girl, who is still getting control over her powers, fight someone who killed her entire family, and has massive control over her powers?! How does that even make sense?!?!"

Elizabeth whirled around. "You will do as I say." she said calmly, maroon sparks flying from her hands. Adi knew better than to question her when she got like this.

"Y,yes mam..." Adi stuttered.

She backed away slowly out of the room and ran to the elevator. While she was waiting, Adi thought about what she was supposed to be doing. Lizzy said to make Brianna go away, not kill her. But wasn't killing Brianna the whole point of their mission? It just didn't add up.

The elevator reached the ground floor, and Adi stepped outside. The rain has slowed to a drizzle, and it was  cold and miserable out. Surprisingly, there were still people out walking, going home from bars , or just heading out for a drink. Adi squinted her eyes, surviving the area. The only people she saw were an old guy with a cane, and two pretty girls, holding hands. Adi focused on these two, as they were quite the pair. The short girl on the left had shoulder length curly pink hair, and was wearing a glittery blue dress. It was very light against her pale skin. The girl on the right was very tall, but that might have been because of the three inch, neon purple high heels she was wearing. This girl had waist length orange hair, and shocking silver eyes. Her dress wasn't glittery, but it was a very bright neon green. The two were a very intestine couple. The pink haired girl must have said something funny, because the one with the heels started to laugh really hard, and kissed her girlfriend on the cheek.

Adi was amazed that they were kissing each other like that in public.  Most people were too afraid to show their love publicly like that. But these two were holding hands, talking loudly, and smiling lovingly at one another. Adi blinked, and found a tear running down her face. Why was she crying?

A bang sounded in the ally next to the two girls, and the tall one screamed. A bright golden light was shining from the ally. Adi ran across the street. She'd found Brianna.

When she reached the other side, the two girls were starring at Brianna in aw. Brianna could relate. Brianna was covered in golden fire, but didn't seem to be burning. She was laying on the ground, and was now slowly getting up, cursing about a rouge spell. She looked up, and saw Brianna, and the two girls staring at her. With a panicked look in her eye, Brianna scrambled up, and snapped her fingers, extinguishing the fire from her body. The two girls gaped at her, while Adi just sneered.

Of course she would be arrogant enough to just show off her powers to humans like that. She probably didn't even care if someone discovered her. With a snarl, Adi summoned a silver ball of fire, and threw it at Brianna. She yelped and dove out of the way. The ball hit a tract can instead, exploding it on impact. One of the pieces fell onto the tall girl. It impaled her shoulder, and she fell to the ground, bleeding heavily. The pink haired one screamed, and started to drag her away.

Adi spit on the ground.

"Just give it up already!" she yelled at Brianna.  "Your never going to get Lizzy, not while I'm here!"

Brianna looked at her like she was crazy.

"What are you talking about? I'm looking for a young warlock named Magnus Bane. His boyfriend is in the hospital dyeing and Magnus is the only one who can save him, and who can protect me!"

"Protect you from what?" asked Adi, confused.

"From my sister!" Brianna screamed. "She tried to kill me once, but our mother  saved me. Lizzy will never become high warlock, I won't allow it. But she's going to kill an innocent man if I don't stop her. Magnus is powerful, more powerful that anything Lizzy can imagine. But he can't control his power, so he doesn't stand a chance. It's up to me to save him. And I can't get killed, otherwise, Lizzy wins, and the world ends. If your here to kill me, then go ahead. Try. Because if you succeed, then you've just ended the world."

"I... I...." Adi was at loss for words. What Brianna said was crazy. But, it made sense. Who should she believe.

"She lies."

Adi and Brianna whirled around. At the entrance to the ally, a little behind the two girls who were still here from some reason, was Elizabeth.

"Hello little sister."
