Alec looked at his friends and family, who were staring at him like he'd sprouted cat ears. And He kind of had. Except they were Cat eyes. Turns out that his eyes were now like Magnus, but blue. The room was deathly silent.

"Won't one of you say something? Please?" Alex begged.

Clary and Izzy shared a look. "It's not that we don't want to say anything" started Clary.

"We just... don't know what to say to this. I mean... you're a warlock now? How does something like this even happen I thought Magnus said that you have to have a demon as a parent."

Magnus stepped beside Alec and layer his hand on Alec's shoulder. "We don't quite understand it either. But we think it has something to do with me healing him from that disease, or maybe it's even from that disease."

"So you man anyone who's been affected from your magic might be... a warlock now?" questioned Clary uneasily, subconsciously rubbing the scarring cut on her arm from a few days ago. She was doing that a lot, Alec realized. It was going to get infected if she kept rubbing it.

"Not necessarily." Magnus said. "I'm pretty sure it has to be direct contact with my magic, like it actually getting into their body somehow."

Jace shook his head. 'I can't really comprehend this, and quite frankly, I'm going to need a better explanation about what exactly Alec is now, and what we're supposed9œ to do. But right now, don't we have some more pressing matters to attend to?"

Simon jumped up from the floor. "That's right! Eleanor is out there somewhere possibly hurt, and Elizabeth's still hunting for all of us. If she finds her, who knows what will happen!"

"The let's go find her. She left her jacket in her room, I can use a tracking spell to find her with it."

With that, everyone grabbed their stuff and ran out the door.

On the map, a neon green light flared up in the park a few blocks away. It throbbed a few times, and then fizzled out. A maroon light started to glow on the paper, and grew, until the whole map was glowing dark red. A menacing laughter filled the apartment. The glow condensed into a small flame, and little whole table on fire.

Elizabeth's fire started to fill the room, burning everything it touched. Her voice rang out.

"You can't hide from me, I will indo you again, and when I do, you suffer a fate ten times more horrible than Eleanor, and a worse fate than your home."
