Simon was drowning, and Izzy couldn't make herself care enough to save him. The two were down at the pool, in the massive backyard that was Alec and Izzy's old house. They were supposed to be discussing the prophecy thing, and what it meant for the group, but Simon took one look at the sparkling blue water, and Simon just jumped in. Clothes and all. It was kind of funny actually.

"Come in with me, the water's nice!" Simon yelled, waving at Izzy, his hair glistening.

"No thanks, I think I'll stay here where I won't look like a soggy bagel, and have to re-do my hair!" she hollered back.

Plus, I like looking at you, she thought with a grin.

Izzy flopped down on a chair and watched the boy paddle and dive like he was a tiny fish. But his shirt kept getting caught on the bottom, making him get stuck, and mutter in frustration, little bubbles escaping from his mouth. When he seemed to finally have had enough, he surfaced, frowning.

"This shirt doesn't like me!" he howled.

Grabbing the hem, he rolled it up and flung it off into the bushes. He wasn't wearing anything underneath, and the water glistened on his stomach, with his shorts were starting to slip down a little. Izzy's face went blood red, and she immediately turned around, facing the stained glass window of a couple- HOLD UP. Since when the HELL did they have a freaking stained glass window for their backyard, with a naked couple making out? Izzy squeezed her eyes shut and groaned.

"Everything around here is too gross!" she complained. When she didn't hear an answer, Izzy sat up, looking around. Simon was nowhere to be seen.

"Simon? Where'd you go?"

Izzy sighed and got up from her comfy hair, and went to the edge of the water. All she could see was the silver tiled floor of the pool.

"If this is some sort of prank to get me into the water, it's not going to work..." she called.

"Oh, it isn't a prank..." Simons voice rang out across the yard. Adi whirled around in circles. But she couldn't find the tall boy anywhere!

"IT'S AN AMBUSH!!!!!"

Izzy screamed, as Simon literally fell from the sky, where he was hiding in a tree, landing on her, and shoving them both into the pool.

When Simon opened his eyes all he could see was water, and water was the only thing he could breath. Kicking his feet off the bottom, he surfaced, coughing. He opened his eyes, and looked for the girl who was about to kill him.

Izzy was sitting on the deck, laughing her head off. The moon was out, shining on her skin, making her almost glow. Her laugh sounded like bells ringing, and her face looked so beautiful and carefree. Simon felt all his tension drain out of him as he stared at this amazingly beautiful, innocent girl in front of him. All he wanted to do was hold her and never let her go.

Izzy was still laughing when she finally noticed the way Simon was looking at her.

"What's wrong" she asked, leaning forward.

Instead of words, Simon reached and brought his lips to Izzy's wrapping his arms around her waist. Izzy gave a little gasp of surprise, but relented, allowing herself to fall forward and be caught by Simon. He pushed her up against the wall, and kissed her neck, her chest, her face. Pulling back, the two looked back at each other, breathing heavily.

"We..." Simon started and then trailed off.

"Yes?" said Izzy, brushing the hair out of her eyes.

"I think we need to get back to discussing the problem with Magnus and Alec"

"You little bitch!" Izzy cried, shoving Simon away. "You're the one who wanted to go swimming instead of talk! And now I'm soaking wet and have to redo my hair all over again!!!"

"Lovers quarrel?"

Clary and Jace walked up to the side of the pool. Izzy and Simon sprung apart, Simon looking like he just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

"I, um, we were, just, um..you see..uhh, Izzy, a bit of help?"

"Relax Si, I'm happy for you two." Clary said, smiling.

"Yeah, I haven't seen you this happy since I gave you new instruments for that band of yours, Rocky Road Bear or whatever.." Jace said, sprawling out on the grass.

"It's Rock Solid Panda FYI, and I just didn't know how you guys would react. I'm still not sure how Alec will feel about this. He's never seemed to like me." Simon mumbled, hoisting himself onto the deck, and helping Izzy out.

"Simon" Izzy smirked, squeegeeing (A/N Yes, this is a real word, you can look it up) out her hair. "You've got nothing to worry about with Alec, and of course he likes you. He's just...a very protective brother."

A giant bang went off, and Brianna and Adi appeared with a flash next to Clary, holding a rolled up piece of paper.

"Speaking of Alec, has anyone seen his elusive boyfriend? We have something to show you guys and Magnus really should be here."

"No one's seen him since Alec passed out passed out" Jace said, frowning, "And I'm not sure I want to be around when Alec wakes up and realizes that he's still missing." He wrapped his arm around Clary's shoulder and yawned, leaning his head on her shoulder. "But it's late, and I'm too tired to go looking for him."

"Well too bad, you'll just have to drink some coffee" Izzu snapped. She got up, grabbed Simons hand, and dragged him back inside, until they were in some side hall.

"Izzy, stop, let go of my hand sTOP!"

Izzy did stop, and let go of his hand. She didn't move, just stared at the end of the hall. Simon slowly reached out, asif he was approaching a frightened animal, and turned Izzy's face towards him. Makeup was smeared all around her eyes as tears ran down her cheeks.

"Oh Izzy...Come here." Simon opened his arms, and Izzy buried her face in his chest, shaking with sobs.

"W, what if we, we don't find h,him?"

"We will" Simon said, stroking her hair. I'm sure he's off somewhere cooling off, and getting his thoughts together. Hell, maybe he's even putting together a plan for what's coming next. He would never hurt Alec by staying away. Remember that. Magnus would never hurt Alec."
