The wood struck her shoulder with a sickening smack. Eleanor watched as the love of her life slowly looked down at the spike impaling her. She fell to the ground, almost in slow motion.
"LIANNA" Eleanor screamed. She threw herself over Lianna, trying to protect her from the crazy people shooting fire. There was so much blood. Too much blood.
Eleanor leaned over, her hands shaking as she tried to stop the bleeding. But it wasn't working. She could see the light filtering out in Lianna's eyes.
"Lianna. LIANNA! NO, NO! DON'T LEAVE ME! YOU CAN'T LEAVE YOU... can't....."
It was too late.
Eleanor watched as the girl-Brianna, stood over her dead girlfriends body. As she focused on the swirling smoke, Eleanor knew. Lianna was gone. And it was that women fault. Whatever she did, no matter what, Eleanor was going to find that women. And she was going to kill her.
As she clutched the necklace that held Lianna's ashes, the ground started to shake. Eleanor tumbled to the ground, and a giant black hole crumbled in the ground in front of her. A hand reached up and grabbed the side.
To Eleanor horror, Lianna crawled out of the hole. The ally faded away, it was just her and the body of Lianna. But this wasn't Lianna. It was a sick twisted version of her, with bent limbs, and stringy hair, with one of her eyes swinging out of it's socket.
"You" she hissed. Eleanor backed up against something, a wall. The corpse like girl dragged her mangled legs behind her.
"You did this to me, this is you fault! You will pay little girl, YOU WILL PAY!!!"
"NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
Eleanor woke up with a gasp, tears streaming down her face
"It was just a dream" she muttered, as she wiped her eyes. "Just a dream..."
Eleanor looked over at the clock on the bedside table. It read 3:28. With a groan, she flopped back down onto the squishy mattress. She missed her old bed, and her comfy pillows filled with feathers. She missed her window seat where she could look out at the stars. She missed Lianna.
But Lianna was dead. Eleanor clutched the locket of ashes as she fought back a sob.
The dream hadn't lied. It was her fault that Lianna was dead. She'd wanted to stay home and watch a movie, she didn't think it was a good idea to go out that late, but Eleanor had pushed her. She'd promised that they would have the night of their lives. And they did. The craziest, most fucked up night of their lives. And the last night of her life.
Eleanor flipper the covers and stood up. Laying here pitting herself wasn't doing anything. She should be out there looking for the women who killed her girlfriend.
Eleanor slipped on some sneakers given to her by Clary, and crept out of her room. She glanced down the hall, and saw a light coming out of Magnus and Alec's room. There was low murmuring as well. Eleanor turned and started to make her way down the hall. As she passed Simon and Izzy's room, she heard a giggle. She froze, thinking she was about to be caught.
She stood still for about twenty seconds, and breathing a sigh of relief, she carried on. Eleanor found her self in the kitchen. The nightlight plugged in to the wall helped her to the door, outlined in glitter of course. She opened the door, and cringed at the loud creak that emitted from it. Moving quickly in case someone had heard her, she sprinted down the staircase, and out into the back alleyway.
"Now." she whispered to herself. "If I was a murdering psychopathic bitch, where would I go?"
Since she wasn't sure what someone of Elizabeth's nature would really do, Eleanor figured that it couldn't hurt to go back to the scene of the crime and see if she could find anything.
As she walked down the deserted streets, Eleanor thought about her plan, and how stupid it really was. She was an average 19 year old, with no talents, no weapons, no backup, and no who knew where she was, and she was trying to find a crazy psychotic lady that shoots fire out of her hands, and murdered her girlfriend. Eleanor almost laughed at her situation.
And now she was going back to where someone was MURDERED, to "look for clues. If that wasn't a horror movie cliché, then she didn't know anything about horror movies. Whish, she kinda didn't. They always scared her, and would give her nightmares. But Lianna loved them, and she would always let Eleanor hide under the blanket while she watched the person get killed, or gore splatter across the screen. Then she would always peek her head out from under the covers and say that the scary part was over, only to have an even scarier scene go on a minute later.
Eleanor smiled as she passed by a bar, with drunk people stumbling out, smelling of beer and smoke. To avoid all of them, she turned down a dark path through the park. There was no one around at this hour.
She had so many great memories with Lianna. Her first kiss, her first date, her first time. They were all with Lianna. And now... there would be no more firsts.
Eleanor squeezed her eyes shut. So it wasn't much of a surprise that she bumped into right into someone. Wait, actually it was. There had been no one around a minute ago. Eleanor slowly opened her eyes, and looked up.
There in front of her stood Elizabeth, with her eyes burning maroon and her mouth in a sneer.
"Well, well, well. Look what we have here. Your the reason that Adi betrayed me." she snarled. Elizabeth reached out her hand, and a rope of fire wrapped around Eleanor throught. Eleanor screamed in pain.
"Help!" she cried. "Someone help me!" The rope was burning through her akin, causing her to inhale smoke. In a few more seconds her head would be burned off.
"I hope you enjoy seeing your litter girlfriend" Elizabeth hissed.
With a final scream, Eleanor stopped thrashing, and her head rolled to the ground. The stench of burned skin filled the air.
Elizabeth crinkled her nose, and started to walk away. Before she left, she waved her hand. Eleanor body and head disintegrated into ashes, most of witch floated away in the wind.
But a small amount still remained, clinging to the locket of Lianna's ashes.
A cloud floated in front of the moon, casting the park, and all that remained of Eleanor, into darkness.
