When Clary walked into the room, and Jace shut the door behind them, Clary immediately felt nervous. She was in a room. Alone. With Jace. Clary wasn't sure what happened next. Did they change and go to bed? Did they make out and talk? Did Jace want to talk about what had happened between them? Clary wasn't sure what to do in this situation. Hell, she'd never even had a boyfriend, and here she was alone in a bedroom with a hot guy who looked like a model. Cary almost laughed, it was so funny. Most girls would kill to be in her position, and here she was, confused and nervous.
She sat down and rubbed the soft fur comforter and watched Jace as he paced around the room. There was a dresser on one side of the room, and a door on the other. When Jace opened the dresser, he found what seemed to be silk nightgowns and pajamas.
"What do you think?" he asked, as he held up a hot pink and purple gown, with glittery sleeves.
Clary giggled, trying to imagine Jace wearing such a horrid thing. "I think it'd be a little too small on you", as the hem of the dress barely came to his waist.
"Ooo, I think this would be perfect for you" he exclaimed, a sly look on his eyes. With a flourish, he pulled out a tiny lace tank top, and matching bottoms. Both were small and both were VERY reveling.Clary felt her face flush to the color of a cherry. "I uh, don't really, um, it's not really, uh, my style and, umm.......no." she stuttered.
"Oh come on" Jace smiled, as he slid onto the bed, holding the top up to Clary. "It'd look perfect on you, and it's just your size; Small!"
Clary scooted back until her head was against the wall. "I'm good."
"Yeah, I guess your right." Jace sighed, and threw the top on the floor. On all fours, he crawled over until he was directly on top of Clary. Her heart was pounding as she looked at his face. It was odd, she thought. Most people who seem perfect always have some sort of flaw up close. But when she studied Jace's face, there wasn't one thing she could find that wasn't perfect. He had gold eyes that looked he was filled with flames, sharp cheekbones that could've cut someone, flawless skin, that looked like it was made of porcelain, and a heart shaped mouth, with lips that were pink, and soft. In fact, these lips seemed to be getting bigger...and bigger... and-
Jace put his mouth over Clary's breaking her train of thought. With a sigh, she closed her eyes, and wrapped her arms around his neck, sliding her hands though his curly blonde hair. Jace rolled them over, so they were on their sides, facing each other.
"You seem nervous" he murmured, twirling a strand of Clary's hair around his finger. Clary was at lose for words. What are you even supposed to say to that? Yes, I am nervous because your the first boy I've kissed, and I'm in love with you but these feelings are new to me and I don't want to mess this up but I don't know how? Yes, because that was go over well.
"It's just.." she started, but Jace put a finger to her lips.
"Let me guess," he said, smirking. "You don't know what to do and your scared that your going to mess up because this is the first time you've felt this way with a boy?"
Clary gaped at him, unable to process what he just said. "How.. what... when did you..... How the hell did you know that?!"
"Because" Jace said, flopping onto his back. His hands found their way to Clary's and he laced there fingers together. "That is exactly how I'm feeling right now with you." He reached their twined hands up and kissed their knuckles. But Clary shot up, and tried to get her hand away.
"What do you mean you feel the same way" she accused. "Your Jace Herondale, the Ladies Man! In the first week that I met you, you got together with and broke up with 3 different girls! Do not tell me that this is your first time dealing with something like this!"
Jace smiled, and sat up, facing Clary. "I don't think you get it." he said. "All of those girls were just... just people that I hooked up with. I didn't really care about any of them, and I hurt their feelings, it didn't matter to me. None of them meant anything to me because none of them made me feel anything the way you do."
Clary froze, speechless once more.
Jace took her hands and held them to his chest.
"Clary, I love you."
Clary stared at Jace's face, unable to believe what she was hearing. Here was this boy, who you could never tell what he was thinking: all of his emotions, all of his heart open on his face. Clary knew what she had to say.
"Jace I-"
But she was cut short as Izzy burst through the door.
"GUYS WE HAVE A PROBLEM, oh."
Clary wanted to disappear from the situation she was in. To Izzy, it probably looked liked she'd barged into something very intimate."Izzy." Jace said through gritted teeth. "What. Do. You. Want."
Izzy smiled and looked at their clasped hands. Clary promptly let go of Jace and stood up.
"You said there's a problem. What is it?"
Izzy's face fell. "Oh, right. Eleanor is gone!"
"WHAT???"
The three of them ran out into the living room, where Simon, Alec, and Magnus were standing around a table, a map spread across it. Brianna and Adi were in the kitchen, muttering to each other in low voices. When Clary looked down at the map, she was surprised to see glowing lines spread out all across it, with bright pinpricks of light throughout the city. Magnus saw her confused look and proceeded to explain.
"This is a tracing map." he said. Seeing Clary's even more confused look, Magnus tried to figure out how to explain it.
"It's kind of like a giant GPS. Except it helps you find people instead of places. And it can also help find out where people have been recently." He pointed to a group of multi colored lines, with red, gold, pink, and black lines all looping around each other, and corresponding dots of light. "These lights and lines are us, here in the apartment" He explained. Each line shows where we've been in the last 5 hours, and the lights show where we are now.
"Why are there only 4 lights?" Simon asked.
"Warlock don't show up on these kinds of maps, something to do with our magic, and cloaking spells."
"But there's only four lights, and eight of us." Izzy said. And only Magnus, Brianna and Adi are warlocks, so where's the fifth light??"
Clary studied the board, and then the people around her."If I had to guess, I'd say that red is me, gold is Jace, pink is Izzy, and black is Simon. That's going off of personalities. But I figured Alec would be blue, so where's his dots and lines?"
Alec and Magnus looked at each other.
"About that..." Magnus started.
"What, don't tell me Alec's a warlock now too." Jace laughed.
Alec smiled awkwardly, and snapped his fingers. A blue flame appeared in his palm, and Jace stumbled back, tripping over the table. Clary let out a little scream, and Izzy was staring at her brother in wonder.
"Alec" she breathed, taking a tiny step back, bumping into Simon who had his mouth hanging open. "Your... you..."
Alec took Magnus's hand, taking a deep breath.
"Surprise..."

A/N Heeeyyyyy.......What's up... I know that I said, I'd update REEEAAALLLLYYY soon... Like a month ago...but you see... that never happened... because I didn't feel like writing it. (Plus, there's this little thing called Homecoming that I had to get ready for, I don't know if any of you have heard of it... It takes a lot of time to prepare for. Not to mention school work.) Sooo, I'm not going to promise another update soon, cause I don't want to let you guys down. But what I WILL say is this:
Prepare yourselves for something very big, and very bad. Cause it's coming soon. I won't say what, or when, or how, just that you need to prepare yourselves, both mentally and emotionally for what I'm about to do.
And that is all, again, I'm sorry, for being lazy and not updating in forever, Bookworm out.
