Barry's POV.
Iris sat down across from Barry. "What was that? Why did she leave so quickly?" She asked. He sighed. "It's a long story." Iris nodded. "Barry, the other day when you told me you were inlove with me..." "I know. You don't feel the same." "Yes, but listen. I don't think you are inlove me." She said.
Barry was shocked that she had said that. Of course he was inlove with her. She meant everything to him. "Iris, you don't have to feel the same way. You don't even have to bring it up. We can act like I never said it, but you can't tell me I don't love you because I do. You can't change my feelings." He told her.
"Barry, your too stupid to see this, but...your obliviously inlove with someone else." She said looking toward the doors. Barry looked quizzically at her. "What are you talking about? Ella? You think I'm inlove with Ella?" He asked. She nodded. "I know you are. Barry, ever since you were a little boy, whenever Ella would be around your face would light up and you would act all goofy. You can't tell me you didn't have a crush on her back then."
Barry nodded. "I did. A big one actually, but then you came along and Ella left. I spent my whole growing up with you, getting to know you. Ella...changed. Not much, but she did. I don't know her like I do you." He said. Iris shook her head. "Barry, that same goofy way you used to act around Ella...you do that now. Only, more grown up." She said.
Barry thought about it. "I don't know. I think your just trying to get me to move on. And I understand, but listen I gotta go. I need to see Ella. There's something I need to talk to her about." Barry said getting up. He was annoyed that Iris was trying to push him onto Ella.
After he got to Ella's apartment she came to the door and let him in. "What's up?" She asked. "I just wanted to talk." He said. "I see the decorations are still up." He commented. She sat on the couch. "Yeah. So what's up?" He sat down next to her. "I just wanted to..."
He paused. Maybe he should just leave it. "I wanted to hang with my best friend. We don't get to do that a lot you know." She smiled. "Sounds nice." Barry smiled evilly he picked up and pillow and hit her with it. She laughed. "What was that for?" "I wanted to hang out like we used to. This is it." He smiled. "Really, Barry?" He nodded. She smiled.
The rest of the day the two of them ran around her apartment hitting each other with pillows and pretending like they used to. They both knew they were being immature, but they found it fun. At one point Barry had knocked her with a pillow and she fell down. She didn't get up. Worry filled him. "Ella? You okay?" He leaned down. She giggled. He rolled his eyes. He picked her up and put her over his shoulder. "This one is dead. I must take her and give her a proper funeral." He said loudly. She laughed. "You are such an idiot!" She exclaimed. He laughed.
He walked into her bedroom and dropped her. She laughed and closed her eyes. He crossed her arms as if she were dead. "Hmm..." He hummed. Then he saw a vase with pink carnations. He smiled and picked one out of the vase, and put it in her hands. He stood over her and began to notice how beautiful she was. She smiled and breathed a laugh. "She's not really dead! She's just asleep. I believe there's only one way to wake her." He said with a goofy tone.
He leaned down next to her bed. He was just going to kiss her head, but as soon as he got near her face, he couldn't help himself. He leaned down and gently brushed his lips against hers. He felt her gasp quietly. He pressed his lips gently on hers and kissed her. Suddenly he felt her kissing back. He leaned into the kiss and began getting lost in the moment. She wasn't stopping either. It was a gentle soft and sweet kiss. After about 10 seconds he gently pulled away. Her eyes fluttered open. She stared at him.
Barry realized what he had done. His eyes grew and he stood up. "Ella. I'm sorry. I-I don't know what I was thinking." She sat up and stared at him. "You kissed me." She satiated. "I know. I'm sorry. Again, I don't know what I was thinking." He said in panic. "It's okay." She sat there. She seemed disappointed. Barry sat down next to her. "I know your inlove with the Flash. I shouldn't have kissed you. I am really sorry." Barry told her.
