Barry's POV.
When Barry and Iris got to their house, which on his earth would have been the West's house, he looked around and noticed how different it looked. He could tell Iris had decorated it. It was extremely classy, yet very cozy looking. "This is nice." He spoke aloud. Earth 2 Iris gave him a questioning look. "I mean our home. . . I guess." She looked away still confused, but observing their home also.
Barry looked over at her and saw that she was casually unbuttoning her blouse. In shock he turned around and stared at the wall. "What is wrong with you? You've been acting weird all day." She commented.
Barry walked over to a table that was against the wall and looked at some pictures. They were all of Earth 2 Barry and Iris. Most of the pictures was of them at their wedding. They looked very happy. Seeing him and Iris together like that made Barry feel strange. It made him start to wonder if he could ever see that happening on his earth. This was all very confusing to him. Jay was right. Black was white here and white was black. Everything was so different.
"Um. . .I guess I'm just not myself today." He said turning back to her but only looking at her face. She seemed to accept his answer and turned to walk up the stairs. "Your mom called." She said.
Barry felt his heart pick up speed. His mom was alive? He looked over at the phone and slowly made his way over. He could talk to her. His mom. On the phone he noticed marked speed dials. Dad. Mom and Dad. Eddie. Bruce. Hal. And lastly Diana. The last three Barry did not recognize, but he did notice that Eddie was also alive here. He wondered briefly why Ella's name wasn't on the phone.
Barry hit the bottom to call his mom and dad. As the phone rang his breathing halted. His heart stopped and he felt as if the world had frozen around him. "Allen residents." Barry's heart began beating quickly. His mom. That was her voice. "Hello?" Barry wanted to say something, but couldn't. "Uh hello?"
He said the first thing that came to his mind. "Mom." "Well you certainly took your time calling back." She said. Barry wanted to tell her so much, but he forced himself to remember that she wouldn't understand. And that she wasn't his mother, . . .but she was in a way. "Uh yeah. I'm sorry about that." He answered sitting down.
"Thank you so much for the anniversary tickets to Atlantis. Your dad and I have always wanted to go." Hearing his mothers voice again was too much for him. Tears began to slip down his cheeks. He covered his mouth not wanting to gasp. He took off his glasses. "I-I'm really glad you liked them." He smiled, trying to cover up his crying.
"Are you okay? You sound kind of strange." His mother commented. Barry looked ahead. She had no idea how much pain he was in. And he couldn't tell her. "I'm fine. I-I'm . . ." He assured her. "Hey I know maybe I should give the plane tickets to you and Iris. Nice little romantic get away. You two could get started on giving me a grandchild." She giggled. Barry smiled. "No, no. I want you to use them."
He was jealous of Earth 2 Barry in this moment. He was able to have his parents. And his mom was happy and safe. Somehow he tried to find joy in that and solis in the fact that she was happy. His mom was happy. "I'm really glad to. . .hear you happy mom." "Awe I love you Barry." That did it. Tears fell down his cheeks. "I love you too." "Okay. Bye bye honey." With that she was gone.
Barry looked down. His heart was shattering. He missed her so much. "Baby what's wrong?" He heard Iris's voice. He rose quickly. "Uh n-nothing." He said hanging up the phone. He wiped his eyes and put on his glasses. "I don't know it was just good to talk to mom." She stared at him. "We should get ready yeah?" She smiled. "Yeah."
