Earth 2 Part 1

Ella's POV.

It had been two weeks since Ella went back to Central City. She hadn't been involved in Team Flash for a while because she had a lot to catch up on at work. Which meant she hadn't had a chance to see Barry either.

Iris had caught her up on a lot. Harry had been blackmailed by Zoom to take Barry's speed away. Zoom told Harry that if he did he would give him his daughter back. Barry found this out and was very upset, but now had agreed to go help Wells get his daughter back on Earth 2. They had closed all the other breaches except the one at STAR Labs.

Ella had been invited to the West's house for dinner before Barry went to Earth 2. Sadly she she couldn't make it to dinner because of work, but told them she would be there in time for desert.

When she arrived Joe answered the door. She walked in and found Barry and Iris sitting the dining room table talking quietly. Iris had her hand on his. They looked very intimate. It slightly bothered her.

Ella watched quietly until Joe interrupted her thoughts. "Hey you want anything to drink or eat?" He asked. She smiled and shook her head. "No thanks Joe I got dinner on the way here, but water would be good." He nodded and went to the kitchen to get it.

On his way he pasted the two and announced that Ella had come. They both looked over at her and soon Iris moved her hand away. It was strange she thought.

She locked eyes with Barry who smiled at her. He stood and walked over to her as Iris watched. "Hey." Ella looked back at Iris who was looking down, then she looked back at Barry and smiled. "Hey." Nodding, he smiled. "I'm. . .really glad you came." "I am too." They just stared at one another smiling. Both of them remembered her confession.

Soon Joe handed Ella her drink, forcing her to return to the real world. She took the glass smiling up at him and thanking him. She and Barry made their way into the living room where both Joe and Iris were. Iris greeted Ella, but she didn't act the same as usual. She seemed guarded and sad.

After they all sat down and started talking she really noticed that something was off. Iris was barely talking and never made eye contact with Ella. Ella wondered if something had happened between her and Barry or if maybe Iris was. . .jealous?

Barry had seemed to have been giving Ella a lot of attention. He chose to sit right next to her and offered to get her desert. He would even smile at her randomly. Maybe Iris was jealous. Ella couldn't understand why though. She had never had feelings for Barry before. Why now?

After their visit Ella decided it was time to head home. After saying goodnight to Joe and Iris, Barry lead her to the door, helping her with her coat. "Thanks." She grinned. "No problem." He answered rubbing the back of his neck.

"Hey um can I walk you home?" He asked. She smiled at his offer and giggled. "I have a car." She reminded. His face turned to one of embarrassment as he dropped his head down and shook it. "Of course you do. Umm. . .well then could I-I mean unless you don't want me to then it's not a big deal, but-"

She watched as he rambled on and on. Ella could hardly contain herself from laughing at his adorable awkwardness. "Uh Barry?" She asked interrupting the poor man. He looked up at her, halting his sentence. "Would you drive with me back to my apartment? I could use the company." She asked, knowing he was going to ask anyway. He smiled and sighed in relief. "Yes. Of course." She smiled widely and nodded. Barry yelled to Joe and Iris that he was going to accompany Ella and with that they left.

The two of them rode in the car silently at first, but eventually they began casual conversation. It felt so nice just spending time with him alone.
