Ella's POV.

Minutes past that felt like hours. The crying had stopped, but Ella was left staring at nothingness in shock. "Barry. He's gone." Iris whispered. "This wasn't supposed to happen. I'm so sorry." Wells said, his voice cracking. "We lost him." Mr. Allen said sadly.

"No. No. No. He-he could have gone somewhere or even run there." Cisco did going to the computer. "Nothing on the GPS." He said. "There were strikes all over the building. Jesse, come down here please." Wells called into the com. There was no response. "Jesse? Wally?" Nothing. Joe and Wells ran out with Iris following behind.

A little bit later Joe came in. "Henry! Wells's daughter is up stairs. The energy hit her too. Her heart stopped beating. Henry!" Joe called to him. He got up. "Alright."Ella was numb. She couldn't move or think. The love of her life was dead. She would never hear his laugh again or see his smile or feel his arms around her.

Just then Cisco shouted tearing Ella out of her shock. "I saw him! I saw Barry!" She looked up. Cisco made eye contact with her and nodded. "He's alive."  She closed her eyes in relief. "How do you know?" Henry asked. "I vibed him." He answered, standing. "I don't know where he is, but he's definitely alive and he's okay." "We've gotta tell Wells." Joe said. "He may know where he is." Henry said hopefully. The two men left.

Cisco started to follow, but stopped and look down at Ella. "You comin'?" He asked. "Yeah. Yeah, in second." She answered breathlessly. She was sitting on the stairs staring ahead. It was all so much to process. Cisco sat down beside her.

After a second or two of silence, he spoke. "You wanna talk?" She opened her mouth, but hesitated, shaking her head. "I don't know." "It's okay if you need to spill out your feelings." He stated.

Shaking her head again, she shrugged. "I don't really know how I feel." Her voice cracked as she answered. "I just watched. . . the love of my life. . . die. Right in front me And now. . .I find out he's actually alive, but have no idea where he is." Her voice quivered. Cisco nodded. "It's just a lot to take in right now." She whispered.

He rubbed her back. She glanced at him and gave a tight smile. "We'll get him back. I know it." She nodded. "I hope so." "You both comin'?" They heard Joe call. Cisco looked at her. She nodded. "Yeah. We're coming."

When they got up stairs Mr. asked Wells where Barry was. Harry didn't know. "Harry I vibed him. In the center of a storm it was like a vortex or something." Cisco explained. "He's in-" Wells began, but stopped and turned around in alarm. "He's in the Speed Force." "Get him out!" Mr. Allen shouted. "I don't. . ." "You can't get him out?!" He shouted. "I don't know if I can!" Wells said. "Henry! Come here." Joe called. The two men walked away, leaving Harry to his daughter.

Hours later Jesse wasn't waking up even though her vitals were fine, Tony was a zombie after his body had been hit by dark matter in the morgue and they were still working on a way to find Barry. Wells and Cisco were working on getting Barry back. Joe and Iris were finding Tony, and Mr. Allen and Ella were watching Jesse.

As Dr. Allen and Ella they watched Jesse's vitals, Ella kept getting lost in thought. "So. . .you and Barry?" Dr. Allen began. Ella looked up in surprise. "Hmm?" She asked. "You and my son?" She bit her lip and gave a guilty smile.

He smiled gently. "How long?" "Only couple months." She answered. "But uh. . .we dated a little bit before." Walking over to Jesse to give her a shot, he quirked an eyebrow at her. "Really? I never heard about that." "It was a very short-lived thing. Just a week or so, but then umm. . ." She hesitated. He needed to know. "Then after the singularity opened I left Central." "Why's that?" He asked.
