Barry's POV.
A lot had happened in the last three weeks. Ella had gone to Smallville for three weeks and Barry had missed her. Patty and he had started getting very serious. Joe had finally met his son. They both were trying to bond, but it was hard. It always seemed to frustrate Iris.
Patty had almost been killed by a meta who had the power to slow down time around him. Patty had also almost killed Weather Wizard our of revenge for her fathers death, but luckily she listened to Barry or the Flash and arrested him. One thing that had been a sad surprise for Barry was that Patty now wanted to go back to CSI school. Which meant she would leave him. Barry didn't want to tell her not to go, but he was still very sad.
He had been very closed off around her and she got curious. She confronted him and he admitted he loved her in a round about way. He didn't know what to do.
Jay and Caitlin had hit it off and were a thing now. Everyone was very worried about him since he revealed how sick he was. They were trying to find his doppelgänger to renew his cells. And lastly Thawn had come back. He was a time remnant. He was there to find out what time the Flash was from. Barry had confronted him earlier, but hadn't been able to catch him.
At the moment Barry was on his way to save Mrs. Magee from Thawne. He seemed to be trying to get back to his own time. He had made Mrs. Magee design a machine that would take him back and now he was going to kill her.
Barry ran to Mercury Labs and faxed through the wall. He ran to Thawne and punched him into the gate. He turned to Christina Magee. "You okay?" "Yeah." She answered. "Okay. Get outta here! Go! Go!" He ordered she nodded and ran.
With that taken care of Barry reached into the machine and pulled out the power source. "That was my way home!" Thawne yelled. "You're not going anywhere." He told him. "You haven't won here Flash. I'll find another way back." "You're gonna have to get through me first." Barry said.
"You really think you're fast enough to stop me?" "Let's find out." Barry dared. Thawne nodded and smirked evilly. "Yes. Let's, but how about we make it fun. Whoever gets to your girlfriend first wins." With that he sped off. "No!"
Barry yelled as he chased after Thawne. He followed him through the city, but soon Barry became confused. They were going out of Central City. "Guys! He's heading out of the city!" Barry yelled over his com. "But I thought he was after your girlfriend?" Cisco said.
After running after Thawne for a few minutes, Caitlin yelled over the radio. "Barry! He's heading towards Ella!" Barry's eyes widened. "What?!" Why would He be After Ella? Barry remembered back to when he had seen the byline from newspaper from the future. By: Ella N. Allen.... With a gasp Barry ran as fast as could after Thawne, but soon he had left Barry in the dust.
Barry came up on the Kent farm house. It was storming outside. He ran inside to find the lights off throughout the house. Barry raced into Ella's room that she would stay in while she was here. A light was on by the bedside table and a book was left wide open. Barry looked around and his eyes widened. There in on the floor in the corner was Ella's suitcase. Barry raced through the house, but found she was gone. He had taken her.
Without hesitation Barry ran out of the house and began searching."I can't find her!" Barry exclaimed. "Hold on." He heard Caitlin say. Barry felt tears come to his eyes. She could already be dead. He had failed her.
"Barry!" Caitlin yelled. He put his hand to his earpiece. "She has her phone! We can track her!" "Great!" He exclaimed. "She's six miles West of there in the middle of nowhere." Cisco said.
With that Barry sped of. Cisco directed him the whole way and finally he came to a plateau overlooking the grassy plains. There he was crouching down next to Ella. Barry silently thanked God that she wasn't dead.
