Ella's POV.

Back at STAR Labs Barry explained what had happened. "Okay. So you ran back in time and made a copy of yourself?" Wally asked. "Well, . . .I-basically. Yeah." Barry grinned, obviously too tired to explain it in detail. "It's called a time remnant." Jesse clarified. Barry nodded. "It's not something I can do everyday, but I needed away to draw the Time Wraiths out of the Speed Force, hoping they would be more upset at what Zoom had done than they would be at me." Wally looked completely lost.

"Is that what I look like when they start talking about science?" Joe asked his daughter. "Pretty much." He smiled at his son. "Don't worry Wally, it'll get easier to understand." Wally shook his head. "How does that even work?" "The same way Zoom did it. I ran back in time moments before I left. That way I could be in two places at once." Barry explained.

Wally scratched the back of his neck. "Okay so the time remnant. . .its still you." He concluded. Barry nodded. "Yeah." "But he died." Caitlin spoke up. Barry shrugged solemnly. "I was-he was willing to sacrifice himself for all of us." "Thats how much he loved us." Iris said smiling sadly. Now everyone knew just how much Barry loved them. He was willing to die to protect all of them. "You know what? We'll just forget about it. . .Barry, I'm glad you're okay." Wally laughed.

The team heard Harry and Cisco arguing in the med lab. "You know what? In battle choose your weapon wisely. Some people choose a gun I choose a Phillips-head screwdriver." Harry went on. "Oh alright, I'm sorry! You're just so particular." Cisco said in annoyance. "Ramone, please! Have you ever worked with a tool before?" The two were working on freeing the man in the iron mask, who Barry had gone back and saved. "I'm working with one now." Cisco muttered.

Harry ignored him. "Okay. One, two and. . ." The mask was off. Wells and Cisco smiled widely, but soon their smiles dropped. "I don't know what's more annoying being in that thing or listening to you two arguin' about it?" The man said.

Everyone looked up recognizing the voice. As the man stood up and turned around they all stood at attention. Ella couldn't believe her eyes. It was Henry. Barry turned around and stared at the man in shock. "You're-" "I'm Jay Garrick. The real Jay Garrick." He said firmly. He had a long shaggy beard and he looked extremely exhausted.

Ella watched as Barry's eyes welled up with tears and he looked down. "What?" Garrick asked. Barry headed for the hall. "I'm sorry I-I I'm sorry." She watched sadly as he left the room. Joe followed.

Later on after Barry had gotten himself together, Jay Garrick cleaned himself up and put on his own suit. He stood in the middle of the lab. Barry stood back near the wall quietly. This was obviously very hard for him.

"So the reason you didn't have your powers was because there was a dampener in the mask." Cisco explained to Garrick. He took the mask and glared down at it. "I don't wanna see this in ever again." Vibrating his hand, he destroyed the mask. "So your powers are back." Cisco pointed out, smiling.

"So Jay, excuse me Hunter, stood your color scheme too." Joe deduced. Jay didn't have a mask like Barry, but his suit was red and blue with a simple lightning bolt on the front. "He took a lot of things that were mine. Except for that. That's umm. . . that's all him." Jay stated pointing to the copper helmet. "He said it was his father's from the war." Iris said.

Wells picked it up. "Ironically, on my earth -
on our earth, this helmet stood for hope." "It did?" Jay asked. "Yeah." He looked at it. "Well, maybe I can continue that sentiment. Take something from him for a change. Make it my own." Taking the helmet, he put it on his head. "It suits you." Caitlin smiled. "It really does." Ella agreed.

Garrick smiled at everyone. "Thank you, all of you, for saving me from Zoom. Especially you, Flash." Barry's head popped up and nodded. "You're welcome, Flash." Jay tipped his helmet to Barry and turned to the others.
