Ella's POV.

Henry's funeral was a few days later. Barry was completely crushed. He only stared at his dad's coffin. He couldn't even say a few words for him. Ella had let him have his space for a couple days now, because after he had cried on her in his old house he didn't seem to want any comfort from anyone. Ella respected that, but now it was time to talk to him.

They were having a dinner after the funeral at the West's and Barry had gone outside to get some air. She followed him. Sitting down on the porch steps next to Barry, they both made eye contact. He looked away and stared at the street. "Barry,. . .you know you can talk all to me." She reminded him softly. He nodded with a pained expression. After a moment he opened up to her. "When I was in the Speed Force I felt like I had finally come to grips with her death. With not saving her when I went back." His voice cracked.

"And then. . .the moment I'm finally at a place I can move on my father's taken from me." He whispered in disbelief. Ella looked down. "How am I ever supposed to find peace with that?" He asked. Ella bit her bottom lip and shook her head. "I don't know, Barry, but you're gonna have to find a way to do that or it's gonna tear you apart." He looked away with tears in his eyes. "I just miss him so much already." Ella intertwined her hand with his. "I know."

She rested her head on his shoulder and then moved to lay a kiss there. "You don't have to go through this alone, Barry. You don't ever have to go through anything alone ever again. I'm here now and I'm not leaving." She whispered. He looked at her and kissed her forehead.

She laid her head back on his shoulder and they sat there quietly, until a flash of blue lighting streaked by. "Zoom." He whispered and without hesitation ran after him. "Barry no!" She called after him, but he was gone.

The next day the team met in the lab to talk about what had happened the night before. Zoom had told Barry he wanted to race to see who was the best, but that wasn't all he wanted he wanted to power Mercury Labs's magnetar. He wanted to destroy all the earths in the multiverse. With Barry and his own speed combined, he could do it. Barry was determined to race him and win, meaning he would have to most likely kill Zoom.

After Barry left to go train the team had a talk. "If he does this he'll kill Zoom." Joe said. "Or worse he'll die." Caitlin added. "If Barry kills Zoom in the state he's in. . .with anger and hatred. . .it will destroy him." Wells said. "We have to stop him before he makes things worse." Jesse agreed.

"Can you talk to him, Ella?" Cisco asked. Ella shook her head. "I don't think so. I talked to him last night, but I don't think it did any good. He only went off after Zoom." She explained. "Iris? What about you?" She asked. "If you couldn't get through to him I doubt I'd be able to." She answered. "But you're his sister. He's bound to listen to you." Iris shook her head. "Barry's never listened to me."

"Well we have to do something or else he's gonna either get himself killed or. . ." "Joe? Can you talk to him?" Wells asked. "I could, but it probably wouldn't do anything. We all know how stubborn he is. When he decides something. . ." "You can't changed his mind. I know." Wells continued.

"I think I just thought of a really bad idea." Cisco muttered. "What, Cisco?" Caitlin asked. He shook his head. "No. We couldn't do that. It would be like. . .treason." "What's your idea?" Ella asked. He hesitated. "Joe could try talking to Barry, but if it doesn't work than. . .we trank him and put him in a cell. At least until he's calmed down and isn't hell bent on avenging his father's death." Ella had a sick feeling in her stomach.

"That would hurt him more than anything. To know his friends turned on him." She whispered. "Yes, but it may be our only option." Wells said. "We can't lock him up like he's just another meta! Listen to yourselves!" Ella exclaimed. "Ella, it may be for his own safety." Caitlin countered carefully.
