Ella's POV.
Ella and Barry walked into the West's house and found that the team along with Henry, Wally and Dr. Magee were all there. "What in the world?" He said as they walked in. Ella and Barry took off their coats and glanced at each other with confused looks. He took their coats and hung them up calling to Iris. "Iris, what is this?"
She looked up from setting the dining room table and smiled. "I just figured since Henry is finally back for good, we should celebrate! And You know, Zoom is gone and the city is quite right now. . ." She explained. "And I appreciate that Iris. Thank you." Henry smiled from the couch. He was sitting next to Dr. Megee. The two seemed very friendly.
Barry and Ella walked over to the dining table where Iris was. She greeted Ella with a smile and a hug, but only greeted Barry with a smile. It seemed after confessing her feelings to him she didn't feel comfortable hugging him yet. "I hope you don't mind that I invited Dr. Magee." Iris told him. Barry leaned forward on the chair at the head of the table. "No. Not at all." Ella looked over in the direction of Dr. Magee and Henry. "Seems like a certain someone's glad you invited her." Ella smirked while raising her eyebrows. Iris laughed and nodded. "It would seem so." Barry laughed. "Yeah. Looks like their hitting it off." He smiled. Iris hummed in response.
"So, I guess you are invincible." "Told you. The Speed Force is with us." He repeated for the hundredth time that day. Iris nodded. "Guess so. I know it's nice to finally have some peace for once." "It is." Barry nodded. "It's nice to be able to focus on more than just being the Flash or stopping Zoom. Instead I can finally focus on the important things in my life. Even the most recently made priority." He said looking straight at Ella with a smile. Ella couldn't help but smile back.
Iris looked between the two. "Am I missing something?" She asked. Barry glanced at her and then looked back at Ella. With a content smile on his face he spoke. "I asked Ella to marry me and she said yes."
Iris looked stunned. Ella glanced at her warily. She looked sad, but at the same time happy. She turned to Ella and smiled. "Really?" Ella nodded carefully. "Iris. . ." She began, but was stopped when iris pulled her in for a hug. "I'm so happy for you." Iris whispered. She pulled away letting Ella see her smile. Ella whispered softly. "Really? Are you sure you're okay?" Her best friend nodded. "I am. Really. You too were meant for each other." Ella smiled and hugged Iris. "Thanks Iris."
She pulled away as Iris turned to Barry. "Barry, I'm so happy for you too. You deserve a girl like Ella." Barry smiled back, but softly. "Thanks Iris. She nodded and hugged him tightly.
Ella had turned away not meaning to over hear, but failed. "Oh. And Barry?" She heard Iris whisper. "Yeah?" "That things I said yesterday. . .about us. I was wrong. It's you and Ella. It always has been. You two are meant for each other." Barry didn't answer at first, but finally did. "Iris. . .thank you. That means everything to me." "I hope we can go back to the way we used to be after all this. Do you think that's possible?" Ella heard Iris ask. "Of course." Barry answered. Ella could hear the smile on his face.
Once Iris walked around Ella to say something to Wally him about saving the Flash's life, Ella stepped over beside Barry. "I'm glad everything's okay between you two." She whispered. He nodded, smiling. "Me too."
"Soups on!" Caitlin announced setting the golden brown turkey on the table. "Taking down a City filled with monsters makes a man hungry." Cisco stayed walking over from the fireplace to the table. Henry and Dr. Magee got up and went over to the table as well. "But first!" Joe began picking up a glass and handing it to Cisco. Ella and Barry were each handed one also. Putting his arm around her waist, Barry drew Ella into his side.
"Uh, Dad?" Iris interrupted Joe. "Yeah, baby?" He asked his daughter. She glanced over at the now engaged couple and raised an eyebrow. Everyone saw her glance at them and were now also looking in their direction. Ella looked up at Barry, who had just looked down at her. His eyes asked permission to announce it. She gave a small smile and a nod, granting him permission. Immediately his face lit up.
