Ella's POV.

Ella sat in her apartment at her dining room table drinking some hot chocolate and paying some bills on her computer. It was close to midnight. Before going to bed she had decided to make some hot chocolate and finish some work. She would then possibly watch an episode of something on tv, then slip into bed. She had already changed into her pajamas and put her hair up in a messy bun.

She glanced out her glass doors to see the rain pouring down heavily outside on her balcony. The night sky was covered by clouds. The sound of the rain falling was calming. She liked it when it rained. She loved its beauty. Just then she saw a lightning bolt streak across the sky in the distance. Thunder cracked. Seeing the lightning made her think of one thing or one person. Barry.

She hadn't seen him since after their success in beating Grey last night. She hadn't been able to go into STAR Labs that day and see him either. Instead she had to go write four stories and the scripts for the evening news. Immediately after defeating Grey Barry had left STAR Labs and gone back to the West's house. He spent a lot of time there. They were like his family.

She assumed he wanted time alone. He was taking the loss of his powers very hard. She understood why and knew that she hadn't helped anything with her emotional eruption yesterday. As his girlfriend it was her job to support and encourage him. Not to worry him or make him feel incapable. She was being selfish. Yes she was worried for his safety and no she didn't want him to be killed, but if he still felt the need to help then. . .she needed to support him. And she could not act the way she had the yesterday. That would only tear him down.

He had only done what he thought was right at the time and had made one mistake. There was no reason for her to lose it. She needed to be strong. She needed to be strong for him. A rock for him in this stormy time.

Just then interrupting her thoughts a knock sounded on her front door. Getting up she answered it. To her surprise it was Barry. "Bare? What are you doing here?" "Hey, I know it's late, but I had to talk to somebody." He said with his hands in his pockets. Ella looked at him in concern. She gave a nod before fully opening her door. "Come on in."

He walked in and collapsed on the couch in a depressed fashion. After closing the door, Ella walked over and sat down on the opposite end of the couch. She turned towards him and criss-crossed her legs. "So, what's up?" He sighed heavily and opened his mouth as if to say something, but was silent. It was like he was searching for his words.

Finally he found them. "I can get my speed back." Ella stared at him in shock. "Are you serious?" She asked. He looked at her and nodded. She smiled. "Well that's great! When? How? How can you do it?" She asked. He looked away to the coffee table. "That's thing umm. . . Wells he told me this morning that he can do it, but. . ." She scrunched her eyebrows at him. "But what?" "But I can only get them back if he creates another particle excelerator explotion."

Ella froze. "What?" She asked sharply. He glanced at her and nodded. "Exactly my reaction." He commented. "Wha-how?!" She exclaimed. "What about the city! All those people!" Barry nodded. "I know! That's what I said, but he says he can contain the explosion. That he knows how to now."

Ella looked across the room at black tv screen. Thousands of things were running through her mind. "What about you?" She asked, now looking over at him. "What about me? I'd have my speed back. I'd be the Flash again. I could protect the city, and get Caitlin back." Ella but her bottom lip and looked at her lap. "What?" She heard him ask.
