One Chance

Barry's POV.

After Barry left Ella's house he went straight home. All night all he could think of was what was to come. If he succeeded in saving his mom his life would change completely. Ella had no idea what was going to happen. Barry prayed that when he returned to her apartment, that he would find her there waiting for him, but knew that it wouldn't happen that way.

Everything that had lead up to him asking her to marry him would change. Maybe he would already be engaged to her or dating her. Barry knew that if that was so then he wouldn't wait one moment to ask her to be his wife. On the other hand he could always change his mind and not go back to save his mom, but could he? No. Barry had to try. He had to try to save his mother and his father. If he didn't he would never forgive himself.

Barry began to think of all he could gain by doing this. He was sure his life would be perfect. He would have a family, he'd have a best friend in Iris and in Ella. There was always a possibility that she would end up leaving, but maybe that would change to! Then he would ask her to be his girlfriend in high school and maybe by the time he was the age he was now. . .they'd even be engaged. Barry smiled at the thought and finally fell asleep.

The next day Barry woke up to the sound of his alarm clock. It was 7:50. He needed to be at STAR Labs at 8:00am. He had plenty of time. Barry quickly got out of bed and sped to the bathroom. He took a shower, brushed his Heath combed his hair and got dressed. When he stopped he looked at the time. "Seven
fifty- three. Great, got just enough time to go to Jitters and get some coffee." Barry said to himself. He sped off to Jitters.

After Barry got his coffee he took off for STAR Labs. He speaks into the lab. Everyone looked up to see him. "Exactly on time Mr. Allen." Dr. Stein smiled. Barry nodded and looked over to Cisco, who nodded. "Everything's ready." Barry nodded.

While Ronnie and Dr. Stein stayed up in the lab to watch the computers, Iris, Eddie, Joe, Caitlin and Cisco all walked down to the Particle Excelerator with Barry. Barry stared at the door. He took a deep breath and let it out. This was it.

He turned around to face everyone. Caitlin was the first to hug him and say goodbye. "Bye Barry." Barry hugged his dear friend. "Bye, Caitlin." She pulled away and smiled with tears in her eyes.

Cisco came over to Barry. "Okay. There are doing to be three you'd back there." He told Barry. Barry nodded. Cisco counted three down on his fingers. "The you from the future who saves younger you form the Reverse Flash and now you, you. Remember wait until future you gets younger you outta there and then. . .you can go and save your mom." He smiled. Barry smiled. "Piece of cake."

Cisco smiled and put both his hands on Barry's shoulder. "May the Speed Force be with you." Barry breath a quiet laugh at Cisco's reference. He would miss that.

He turned to Joe who was already tearing up. Barry put his hand on his shoulder. "Goodbye,  Dad." Joe hugged Barry. "Goodbye, son." Barry looked over at Iris. His sister. "Iris. . ." Iris smiled. "You don't have to say anything. I already know."

She walked over to Barry and hugged him. "You'll always be my sister Iris. I love you." He whispered. He heard her sniffle. "And you'll always be my brother, Barry. I love you too." She pulled away and kissed his forehead. "I hope whatever life you get is enough for you. That it makes you happy." She said. Barry nodded and smiled. "You too." She stepped back and held hands with Eddie.
