Ella got a call from the Central City Television News was told that she had gotten the job. She would now be a news writer and editor for CCTN. She was ecstatic.
Ella decided that with some money she had saved up, she would go and get herself a new outfit for her first day at work tomorrow. She would also need to keep an eye out for any good stories. After shopping around town she got a new outfit for her first day.

She couldn't wait to wear it the next day. On her way out of the store she felt a hush of wind race past her. She looked up and down the street to see red lightning in the distance. Ella felt her heart lurch. The Flash was on his way to save the day. No. Barry was on his way to save the day.
Ella looked down and blinked trying hard to not feel angry again. 'He's Sorry now.' She reminded herself. 'Really? Then why hasn't he tried to be friends again. He never talks to you anymore or sees you.' A voice in her head kept saying. Ella shook her head. No. She wouldn't let herself think that way. Barry loved her. He always would. They were best friends.
Ella walked to her car and drove away from the store. As she was driving and idea hit her. Wherever Barry was going he was going to stop whatever was happening and save people again. Every news source would cover it. Ella turned her car around she needed to be the first to get the story. She drove in the direction he ran. As she last a bank, she saw people running out it in panic.
Ella parked and got out of her car. She ran up to someone. "What's happening?" She asked. "The Flash he's in there fighting a meta!" The woman exclaimed. Ella stared at the building. "What did the meta look like?" She asked. "It was. . .um. . .a woman with brown hair. She had this black mask on and she shot blasts of. . .of white light out of her hands." The woman answered, her voice filled with panic.
Just then Ella saw the Flash race out of the bank. He hadn't seen her. Ella knew that to get the whole story she would need to talk to Barry.
Barry's POV.
After battling the meta Barry went back o STAR Labs. There he learned from Dr. Wells that her name was Dr. Light and she was from Earth 2. Apparently she was working for Zoom. Then to prove Harry was who he said he was Jay and Harry had a fight. Apparently they had never liked one-another.
After leaving STAR Labs Barry went to the CCPD. On his down from to his lab he ran into Patty on the stairs. "Hey." She smiled. "Hey." "Hows your science stuff?" She asked. "Oh, I finished it um. . .did you get your report done?" He asked. 'Come on, Barry. Just ask her already!' He told himself. "Yeah, It wasn't as much fun writing it by myself, but. . ." She giggled. "I'll see you." She smiled. Barry nodded. "Yeah."
He forced himself to stop. He had to do it. "Hey do you ever feel completely overwhelmed by everything you have to do in a day, and it feels like the one thing you actually wanna do is the thing that gets lost?" He rambled. She stared at him and then shook her head. "I'm confused. What?" She laughed.
