The story may not go with the flash episodes exactly, so I thought I would just warn everyone.
Barry's POV.
Barry ran through the city he stopped on a roof and saw that Iris had just posted something on her blog again. She was thanking the Streak for everything he's down for the city. He ran to Jitters and took her to the roof. She stood there in shock. He smirked. She looked so pretty. Her hair was windblown and she looked stunned.
"Your welcome." He said vibrating his vocal chords. "How did you-? I literally just hit send." Barry smirked under his mask. "Speed reading." "It's crazy, what you can do with your voice." She commented. Barry sped behind her. "You need to stop writing your blog." "People need to know you exist." Her phone vibrated. She declined it.
"What else can you do?" She asked. "This is not an interview." He said seriously. "Come on. You've got to give me something. Hobbies, pet peeves, favorite color? Wait scratch that last one. Red obviously."
He was getting frustrated. "Your not hearing me." "My hearing is fine. It's just selective. What should I call you?" "Anything, but the Streak." "Fine. Suggestions?" "You said you were writing about me to bring hope to someone you care about. How would he feel if doing that put you in harms way?" "He and I aren't exactly on the same page these days. Besides, your giving hope to a lot of other people too. I'm doing this for them."
He sighed. Then he heard a siren. "To be continued. Gotta run." "You can't just leave me up here!" He ran and picked her up taking her down into Jitters and leaving.
After he dealt with a guy who changed into metal man, he went back to Star Labs. "You have a concussion, three cracked ribs and bruised spleen. Even with your powers, you'll need a few hours to heel."
"What exactly did you hit? A man?" "A big bad man. His skin turned to metal." "Interesting." Dr. Wells commented. "A man of steel. So you went after a meta-human alone? Dude why didn't you cal us?" "I didn't know what he was. Plus I was off duty. The thing is...I feel like I knew him." "What do you mean?" "He sis something familiar, but he's gonna hurt a lot of people if we don't stop him." Barry concluded. "Tonight, you heel." Caitlyn ordered. "Yeah." He agreed.
Barry ran home and found Ella on the couch reading. It had been a few weeks sense she came here. He was really happy that she was back in his life. "Hey." He said. "Hey Barry." She glanced up. "Barry! What happened to your face?" Ella asked and came closer to him sitting on her knees. Barry silently cursed himself. "Uh...I ran into...a door." She raised an eyebrow at his pathetic lie. "You ran into a door?" He nodded. "Okay?...Does it hurt?" She asked gently touching it. He hissed in pain. "A little."
"Poor thing. Here. Let me get some ice to out on it." She got up and walked into the kitchen. "No it's okay really-" "Don't you argue with me Bartholomew." She shouted. Barry laughed and rolled his eyes. She had done that since they were kids. She came back with some ice and sat on her knees next to him. "Here." She put the ice on his forehead. "Thanks." She smiled.
"So...I got a job." "Really? That's great! What is it?" "I'm working at Central City Picture News!" She exclaimed. "As a photographer?" Barry asked. "Well maybe..." He raised an eyebrow. "Okay yes I am, but if I can get a really good story, they may just promote me to journalist!"
"That's great! So do have a story in mind?" "Well I've been looking up some things and...your not gonna like it." "What?" "I was thinking that...maybe Iris could put a good word in for me to the Streak...." Barry began to argue. He didn't want both of his best friends involved.
She held up her hands, telling him not to talk. "Wait! It would only be one interview. And I could really, really use it. No one has gotten a actual interview from him. Ever. This could be my big break! And after the one interview...I'll stay away from reporting about the Streak. I promise." Barry sighed.
"Fine. You should probably talk to Iris. I'm sure she'll put a good word in." "Yes!" Ella exclaimed.
Ella's POV.
That night Iris came home late. Ella was already in bed. When Iris came in Ella knew she had to ask. "Hey Iris?" "Ella? I thought you were asleep?" "I was, but...I need to ask a huge favor." Iris smiled and sat down. "Sure. What is it?" "Okay well...I got a job at the Central City Picture News..." "What?! That's amazing!" "I now, but I'm only a photographer. The thing is though, if I can get a really good, original story then they'll promote me to journalist."
"So why do you need my help?" "That's just it...I was wondering if maybe you could ask the Streak if he would do an interview with me? And I know it's asking a lot, but if you do this I could try and get you a job as well." Iris thought for a moment. "Well...of course I'll try to ask, but he's not very easy to convince. I still haven't been able to get an interview out of him, but maybe if I tell him your jobs at stake...he may do it."
Ella got up and hugged her. "Thank you! I promise I will do everything I can't k get you a job." Iris smiled. "Okay. Now if I tell him a and he says yes. Where do you want him to meet you? And when?" "Umm...how about on the Central City Walking Bridge at 8:00pm on Thursday?" "Okay that's good the walking brings is always quiet and very private. Okay I'll let him know the next time I see him." "Okay. And thanks again." "No problem."
