Chapter 13:

Loki grabbed her hand and practically dragged her out of the wedding chamber. The doors closed behind them. Deirdre tried to pull away from him, to escape his grasp, but he wouldn't let go of her.

"What did you do to me?!" screamed Deirdre.

Loki smiled at her. "It is simple, love, I knew you would try something I wouldn't like. So I provided you with a little coercion to move you along to the inevitable outcome. It was you who gave me the idea. That song you always sing, La Vie en Rose or life in pink, gave me the idea."

Loki held Deirdre's body firmly against his. Despite her best efforts she couldn't free herself from him. He pressed her lithe body against the chamber doors, lifting her feet off the ground and kissed her passionately. She knew it was hopeless to fight him and she went limp in his arms.

Loki pulled back his head and smirked at her. "I told you, love, I always get what I want. And I want you so much right now."

In a weak whisper, tears swelling in her eyes she said, "I was forced into marrying you. I'm fairly certain that voids any marriage."

"Not in Asgard, love. Once a marriage happens in Asgard, there is no way to reverse it. You are mine, always and forever."

Loki released his grip on Deirdre. She stumbled as her body dropped, but managed to remain standing. Before she could even pull away from her new husband he hoisted her off the ground and threw her over his shoulder.

She squirmed around trying to loosen his iron grip. "Where are you taking me? Please put me down!"

"It is our wedding night. I think it is time that we consummate our marriage."

Deirdre cried, "You can't do this to me! Please Loki! You can't kidnap someone and force them into marriage!"

"Clearly I can because I already have. You may not remember what you agreed to because of your memory loss. It is unfortunate, but we made a bargain and I intend for you to keep your end of the bargain, as I kept mine."

"Will you just stop with the lies and the mischief and tell me the truth! My whole life is a jumbled mess right now because I have no idea what has happened to me."

Loki's heavy footsteps stomped along the ground. He ignored her pleas. He swung both sets of chamber doors open. Deirdre was back in her gilded prison. Loki threw her onto the bed.

She looked up at him with fear and anger in her eyes. He stood in front of her and removed his helmet. With a wave of his hands his helmet disappeared.

Loki pounced towards her like a hungry feline. Deirdre managed to crawl out of the way. She scrambled off the bed and ran to the bathroom. She slammed the door behind her and locked it. She sank to the floor and rested her head against the door as she cried.

She heard his loud footsteps. He jiggled the handle of the door and when it wouldn't open he banged his hand against the door. Despite knowing something like this would happen she jumped, her body quivering in fear.

"Open the door!" yelled Loki. Deirdre didn't move. She didn't answer. "I am not going to play games with you. You can either open the door on your own, which will be a lot less painful for you, or I can blast it open, which, if I must do that, will result in another flogging. What do you choose?"
