Chapter 39
Loki pulled Deirdre through a swirling portal. She was closed her eyes, prepared for the inevitable rough landing that always came.
But it didn't. She looked around and realized they'd already landed, smoothly at that. It was dark and she recognized nothing.
"Where are we?" Deirdre asked softly.
"We're with our people, love."
"Don't call me that," she said firmly.
Loki grabbed Deirdre by the chin, "I do tire of your reluctance, love. You are a Queen and I am your King. We should act like a happy couple."
"But I'm not happy," she said, pulling away from him. She gestured at her stomach, "I didn't do this for you. The second this child is born I'm turning it over to Shield."
"And how do you plan to do that?"
"You said we're with our people. That means we are on Earth. And that means Shield won't be too far away." Deirdre look around through the darkness for any sign of life. But they were alone.
Loki grabbed Deirdre by the shoulder and turned her to him. He embraced her in his arms and whispered, "What makes you think that I will let anyone come between us? I lost you once. I'm not letting it happen again."
"What's your plan Loki? Rape me? Torture me? All in the name of love, while I try to escape? I hate you. I will never love you!"
She fell to the ground with a violent smack.
"I'm your husband!"
Deirdre looked up at him. "We're not on Asgard anymore. My marriage to you is as valid a drawing of me is for immigration papers."
"I guess that must be very valid then." Loki pinned Deirdre down in the dirt. She wriggle her hips in an attempt to free herself. Suddenly she felt is manhood.
"Get. Off. Of. Me!" said Deirdre through gritted teeth.
Deirdre lifted her knee and landed a hit to his groin. Loki winced. His hold on her loosened.
Loki let out a cackling laugh. "Ehehehehe. You've gotten stronger, but it won't stop me." Loki smirked at her.
She wasn't afraid. She was done with him. In one swift movement of her hips Deirdre threw him off of her. He landed next to her with a thud.
"I'm not going to be your punching bag anymore. I'm done, Loki."
Deirdre stood up, without a word and turned away from him, walking through the darkness. The Asgardians were out there and some of them would want to help her.
"Where do you think you're going?" Growled Loki. He had appeared right in front of her.
"Leave me alone." Deirdre turned around.
"Why would I do that?" He asked, appearing in front of her. "We have a planet to rule."
"You're insane. You tried to rule Earth once. They say madness is trying the same things over and over again and expecting different results."
Deirdre turned away from Loki again. She walked away. He didn't seem to be following her. Deirdre walked for a minute or two.
She looked back, Loki was gone. Thunk. She looked up at whatever she walked into.
"Why won't you just go away!" she screamed. Loki wrapped his arms around Deirdre and lifted her in a bridal lift.
"I'm not insane. This time I can take over Midgard. This time I have something I didn't have before. I have you and our child."
