Chapter 10: Viles

I stopped at the lab to find the door being invisibly closed. "Brat, let us in!" Brooklyn hit the wall. It opened and immediately shut after we went through.

"Are you sure they are working?" Nathan sighed.

"They have to be. I threatened them." Clyde mumbled at the back of the room. "They are figuring that cure for Lucy soon."

"You shouldn't threaten people." Brook said watching them work frantically.

"Why? They are bad people. They deserve bad treatment." He frowned.

"Nathannnnn. Marcussssss." Allie yelled.

"She seems obsessed..." Brook whispered.

Clyde held the door shut as they guards tried forced their way in. "Once you guys get the antidote. You must bolt out of here." I went through the force field.

"Come on. I'm ready for round two." I stretched.

Turns out that pink haired psycopath can actually fight. She really wants my head on a stick. She has a little dagger and actually grazed me from time to time. I put her in a head lock and grabber the knife.

"Shhh, Shhh Allie. You have pretty dreams of Nathan and I. Make sure you wake up and tell everyone about it." I said as she was slowly losing consciousness. She began to bite my arm but it didn't mind. Riley and I used to fight and when I accidentally hold her like this she bites me to bring be back to reality.

This headlock is special. I'm a war machine. I can't help it.

Allie dropped while Clyde, Brook, and Nathan walked out with four different colors of liquids. "They said one of these will work. If one starts to do damage to her we use this to reverse it. But that's the only one we got, so we must choose wisely."

"How do we get out without breaking them?" Brook asked. I picked her up and gave the bag to Nate. "Do you think you can fly?"

"I mean.... I doubt it."

"There's a jet right outside the community. If Marcus can get there and bring my weapons then we would be fine."

"I'm not leaving anyone behind. In case I get caught up you guys head on without me. Lucy is top priority." I skewed my lips. Clyde can slip out easily due to his powers-"

"The viles make noise."

"Then be cautious." I said through my teeth, sending him off. Nathan lifted Allie and the other guards into the lab. He slammed it shut and locked them in. Eventually they should get out. Maybe?

I heard girlish screaming. "Let me go dammit!"

I looked around and Brooklyn was still on my back staying oddly quiet. I put her down and she collasped. The scream came from Nathan who was busy handeling the guards.

I dropped to my knees to check her pulse. I put my finger under her nose. I flicked Brook's nose to see if I can get her to scratch it. She was just fine but I think-

She snorted and turned on her side. "She might have ingested something." Clyde whispered

"Why are you still here" I whispered.

"Oops" He said. I listened to the annoying clank of the bottles as he went off.

I picked her back up and Nathan grunted. I turned around and Allie was back on her feet cutting him up as well. I put Brook down again and tackled Allie.

"Just stay down."

"Never. You think just by leaving here you are free? You have information on Shield, Hydra, and Us. You also are tolerant to many torture methods. Very strong and handsome. Marcus you fit all the criteria for the perfect agent." She laughed.

"You are right on all of these things." I smiled. But my girlfriend and sister would kill me if I left SHIELD." I laughed.

"A sister? Interesting."

"No. You are after me. Pay attention to me!"

"She might be less resistant."

"Marcus is the one you want. She isnt even-"

"I mean you both should have the same knowledge. Riley right? Oh yes! She knows much more than you than. Much more important.

I shouted a war cry and threatened her with punches only hitting the floor beside her head. "She isn't more important. Nor better than me."

"What? Oh that pisses you off? After all this damn time" she laughed through her flinches

"Shut your mouth." I snapped. My arm was grabbed. Brooklyn pushed me off of Allie and then started hitting me with an open palm across my face. I looked down trying to come up with responses to what she was about to scold me for.

I looked back up at her. "Don't treat people like they are a toy." Brooklyn folded her arms.

"Yes ma'am." I recited my only response I could give. Allie started attacking but Brooklyn hit her jaw causing her to fall.

I grabbed Brook and pulled Nathan by his suit and dashed away. I stopped to check my surroundings. "Fuck, where am I?" I muttered.

"Ask directions." Nathan teased

"No I'll be fine."

I turned the corner and found a complete new exit. I look to my wrist and my watch isn't there. "God fucking-"

I came back with the watches as well ass more dirt on AIM, Hydra, and SHIELD. This will be fun. I tucked them into Nathan's suit and walked through the new exit.
