Brooklyn held my hand as we felt the wind. The sky was orange and pink. I forgot how pretty it can be. Brooklyn cuddled closer to me. "Marcus?"
"What?" I asked.
"When's the last time you've been in love."
I twitched at the question. Either I didn't expect the question, or I didn't want to think about it. "This girl played me, that's all I want to say about it." I mumbled.
Brooklyn put her hands on mine and looked at me. "I would never play you. I want you to know that."
I raised an eyebrow. This girl is actually really beautiful. She had pale eyes and brown hair. She had a beauty mark on the left side of her lips. She touched my face and tried to pull me into her. What the hell?
Oh shit! I was trying to break her heart. I put my hand on hers. "Brooklyn."
"Yes?" She looked at me hopeful.
"You understand I've been basically imprisoned by shield."
"Yes I do and I don't care!" Shes said hopeful. My heart ached. No one should go through what I did.
"Brooklyn. I don't think of you that way. I'm sorry."
Brooklyn gave me a solemn smile. "Marcus-"
"I don't want to be friends either... Stay away from me."
Her smile went away. She kissed my cheek. "Brooklyn I just fucking -"
She grabbed my hand and led me into a dark corner. "Listen. My job is to deliver messages around shield... I was given a mission to make you fall for me to learn Hydra secrets."
My eyes widened and I laughed. I looked up thinking she would be laughing with me but she was crouched and crying. "My mom forced me into this stupid job. I don't even want to be an agent."
I listened to her crying. "You think I don't know what a fake cry is?" I moved her hands and no tears were there. But she made her face red which would work if I was a dumb ass.
"Fuck you." She glared.
I walked away and she grabbed my shirt. She pushed me to the wall. "If I don't complete this mission then I'll either be demoted from an actual agent or fired."
"What does that have to do with me?" I said disgusted that she caught me off guard.
"I want to make a deal. Tell me about Hydra."
"What's in it for me?" I smirked.
She lifted my shirt slowly. "Well..."
"That's gro-"
She stuck something cold on my body. "...You won't suffer." She pulled up her sleeve and pressed a button. My abdomen began to sting a bit and I buckled. She turned a knob and I started screeching. It stopped and I reached for her neck. She shocked me again and I put my arm down.
"We are going to have so much fun." She smiled devilishly. "I'm going to be an agent."
I smiled. "This is something I'd do to be an agent. If only it were that easy."
"This- this is humane. You can't tell anyone I'm doing this."
I got to my feet and looked at her. "How long is this going to take."
"Listen. I knew you weren't going to cooperate. So this is the only way. If I don't become an agent-" She stopped herself. "Someones coming."
She pulled me close to her and pushed herself against the wall. She was focused on listening to the sound. I was just trying to suppress myself from grabbing the watch.
"Alright, you two" another agent tapped my shoulder. He was shocked to see Brook and I. "W-We are descending. You need to get off the deck."

My eyes adjusted to the darkness of the infirmary. I look to my left and Riley had a gash on her arm and forehead. Sam only suffered from bruises. I was barely touched. My back did hurt though. I woke up with a mission set. I kicked off the blanket and stretched what I could. I wobbled to the door. The adrenaline in my body caused my foot to feel a lot better than it was. I looked back to the bed. I've been through a lot. Too much. All my life and in the past month. I'm fed up with it.
I may be on one foot but I can still kick the same amount of ass two agents can. I limp quietly about the Island. Many patrolling agents weren't doing their job right. I made it to the weapons closet. Allie couldn't have gotten that far right? They wouldn't have let her run away, right? I waddled to the prisoner section and looked through each door.
Allie was laughing at the wall like the psychopath she was. She looked at me pouting. "Shield made sure you, or that red-headed wench can't get in here."
I typed in my code and it was wrong. If I try two more times the alarm goes off. I took a deep breath and put in Brooklyn's. It came up wrong again. Fuck. Allie laughed again.
"Ahem." Someone cleared their throat behind me. I put the gun down and put my hands on my head. "I want to talk to Fury."
The person got closer and patted my back. The familiar scent of blood filled the air. I looked down and Riley passed by with a paper. "Fury always does this when a villain gets personal. I have a backup passcode he doesn't know about."
"As soon as we open the door she's going to scream." I mumbled.
"No, she won't." Riley smirked. Riley opened the door and I waited for the scream to alert everyone. Riley has her mouth over Allie and motioned me over. "Put your hand over her mouth and I'll close the room."
I intertwined my hand with my sister and she slid off slowly. Allie began to lick my hand trying to make me disgusted. Riley closed the door and I let go. Allie immediately attempted to punch me in my bad leg. I switched legs and knocked her back down with the gun. "You going to torture me?"
I put the gun to her forehead. "Wait wait! You want to really ruin your reputation. Come on Marcus. Think about it. You'll end up in prison." Allie smiled
"You obviously weren't thinking that when you killed Lucy." I mumbled. "Look away Riley." I hissed. My sister complied and turned around
I took a deep breath and shot at her forehead. I looked back at Riley who was looking away. "I can take care of her."
"Do you do that often? Cover up a murder?" I said relaxing. My eyes finally cleared off tunnel vision and I could feel the slow beat of my heart. Adrenaline always takes over my body. I abhor it.
"No. This is a special circumstance." She left for two seconds and came back. She left with the body and dropped off a scrubber. I got on my knees and started to scrub the blood off the floor. Riley came back with blood on her hands. "If we burn our clothes and the gun we could get away with this."
"I'll fix the cameras. Just work on getting back to the infirmary." She said. "We never speak about this ever again"
-----------------------
I woke up in the infirmary with Sage and Fury at the foot of the bed. "Where is Allie?"
I went back sleep trying to ignore them. He went around the bed and grabbed my shirt. I grabbed his shirt and pulled back a punch as a reflex. Fury dodged it and head-butted me. I fell limp and tried to regain my head posture.
"I don't know where she is." I managed to force his hand off. I fell back onto the pillow and sighed.
"We could go to war with AIM now. Do you understand what you did?" He snapped. I tensed my body and glared at him.
I pushed him away. "I want you and your sister in my office in 3 seconds." He glared leaving. Sage sighed and stared. "Where is Allie?"
"Where do you think she is?"
Sage put her hands to her nose and walked out. Riley immediately turned over to look at me. "What are we going to say to them?"
"I'll take full blame. I'm fine with not having a shield job."
"What will Brooklyn think?"
I ignored her question and motioned her to follow behind me.
