Brooklyn's POV

We opened the door to the bar called 'Hit me.' The first thing we saw as we walked in was Marcus on stage singing "Don't Stop Believing"

He had a lot of blood on the side of his shirt. He had a few bruises and messy hair but still managed to pull it off well. Despite him acting insane right now he looked pretty cute. He was just singing his heart out up there to equally drunk people who didn't realize his shirt was soaked in another man's blood. He sounded good I guess. But I want to know what's wrong with him.

He came down and waved and laughed. It was a fun kind of laugh. Riley heard it too. He was enjoying himself a bit to much. It sent a chill down my spine.

He sat at the bar with a full bottle of beer. "Hey asshat." Riley snapped.

"Go away before I make you other eye black." He smiled and winked. Great he's drunk and being controlled. This won't end well. I looked at the bar tender who was concerned.

"You threatened Clyde, you punched me, you made Ari cry, and stabbed Kyle. Now you are in here celebrating?!" She yelled.

"I did everything I wanted to accomplish today. Well I didn't want Ari to cry but, it was only collateral." He chucked. "Do you even know what this is all about?"

"You lashing out because you are an insecure piece of shit?" She folded her arms. "You are being a little attention whore because your girlfriend is the only one who notices you. Well good job you got my fucking attention. My undivided attention...."

"Riley-" I warned knowing damn well he's sensitive about that. Marcus crushed the bottle and let the blood run out of his hands. I ran to take cover. These two are super humans. I am not.... I'm not trying to die in a bar.

"That's the problem with you, Riley." He got up slowly shaking off the glass. "You think everything is so simple, all about you. Probably because your childhood was the very definition of an illusion. All of it just so you can grow up to be the perfect Shield agent. You haven't earned anything.... EVER."

"I earned alot more than you think."

"You were given a high position in shield. You were given your winning personality. You were given a normal life while I rotted in Hydra."

"Those aren't my fault. They ruined my life."

"You were given friends. You were basically given a boyfriend. You were given everything." He raised his voice. "Even after you left shield, even after you opposed them. Even after you PUNCHED THE FUCKING HULK, you were given your Avengers job back."

"Marcus this is nothing to do with me."

"Everything in my life was needed to be earned. I even had to earn the right to eat and sleep. You little baby grown shield rat, you're such conceited little b- bitch!" He got closer to Riley and grabbed her. "Everyday you act higher than everyone! Every day you act like no one else is as important as you. You think everyone needs to stop and listen to you. You are so used to Fury always up your ass on something. Once he leaves you alone you look for the next person to feed your unsatisfied ego."

"Marcus-"

"SHUT UP. You think you know but you don't. You think you know everything about this world, but you don't. I don't even know half the shit about this world, but I know alot more than you. My experience in Hydra taught me something. The world doesn't give a shit. It never did, it never will. You have to live with it. But you can't. You are hooked on the drug that's called attention. You think you are entitled everything. Riley, I'm so sick and tired of who you became!"
