Chapter 15: Little Silver

Turns out Nova..... Is on Earth right now! Starlord said they touched down in Arizona a few hours ago. "I don't know if Sam is staying or not but next stop is Michigan." I remember him saying.

I'm not telling anyone especially little miss out bursts... I grabbed my basket of groceries and opened Sly's house door.

"I have....." My voice trailed off as I noticed Nathan was sitting in the house playing video games with Kyle.

"He is here because....."

"Awww Marcus. I thought you liked me." Kyle laughed.

"Sly wanted people over so I invited my cousin." Nathan laughed.

"He's not your cousin. You are related to Robin not Kyle."

"It's a lost cause Marcus. I've been telling him for years." Kyle smiled.

"You are my cousin. That is final." Nathan hissed.

"Alright alright." Kyle laughed nervously.

"Be careful of Sly's family. Be good kids." I said

Kyle looked at me weirdly.  "Is his family....."

"Twats? Dicks? Asses? Take the old you, like waaaaaay before Ari, and multiply that by 4."

"Oh ew. Teenage me."

"The biggest twat of them all." Nathan laughed.

"Speaking about lil 'zona. Where is she?"

"She wanted me to scout and see if there is food, air-conditioning, and a TV. It seems to check out. I'll bring her over next time you invite me."

"You are welcomed anytime." I smiled. "I like Ari more than I like you anyway."

"Everyone does. Even me. I can't blame them."

"It was a joke Kyle don't get all emo on me."

We all laughed and I went back to unpacking.

"When Sly gets home from school be sure to be nice to him. Or I'll kick your asses."

RILEY'S POV

"Yeah we're gonna bop bop bop to the top" I sang dancing. High School Musical is a good movie. Especially Sharpe. "Moving till you're grooving-"

I heard cooing from behind me. I turn but nothings there. I continue my song and taping of shoes against the floor happens.  I turn again but no one's there. "Riley you are going insane." I sighed I turned around and saw a baby. I gave a short scream as I tried to avoid her. I stumbled and looked back.

The baby looked at me and laughed "Hi" she waved. She began to charge and I immediately picked her up. "Well aren't you the cutest."

She slapped my nose then pulled my hair a bit. "Missing baby!!!" I yelled.  No one answered back.

"Well I guess you are mine for the day." I said playing with her white hair.  "What's your name?"

The baby didn't listen at all she was occupied by putting her hand down my shirt and sucking her thumb. "Well I'll call you Silver. I doubt you know that color anyway." I struggled to pull her hand out of my shirt.

The baby popped the thumb out of her mouth. "Down."

I put her down and she continued to go on her own. I made sure to follow behind like a good baby sitter. I decided not to take her to get something to eat. I have no idea what her allergies are. Let's not try and kill this bundle of joy.

"Nana. Nana!" She started yelling and hitting the door to the cafeteria. I guess she's been here before.

"Ba-nana" I smiled walking in. She can't be allergic to bananas if she knows the word.... What parent would do that to a kid?
