Chapter 11

Kira followed me and Derek out of school but I could tell she was a little scared. I fell back a little so I would be walking beside her. "It's okay. You don't have to be scared." I told her gently. She looked at me startled as if I had just slapped her. "H-How did you...?" She trailed off as she glanced toward Derek. "I guess you can call it a superpower." I said. She relaxed a little and smiled.

Derek opened the door for Kira. She looked at him cautiously and slipped into the seat behind the passenger's seat. Derek then opened the door for me. I sat down and Derek closed the door. "I could tell you that his slightly intimidating personality is worse than his bite; but I'd be lying. But you don't need to worry, he won't hurt you." I said trying my best to comfort her. I could feel her become slightly less tense.

Derek got in the car and glanced at me. I smirked. "You would know." He said so only I could hear it as he turned on the motor. I shook my head.

He was right. About a month after I moved in with the Hales, Derek and I got into a fight. I don't remember what it was about but I remember that it stared with us arguing which turned into yelling. And me being me, I said something that sent him over the edge and he attacked me. I was so surprised that I didn't have time to react. And Derek being Derek didn't let me. He chewed the living hell out of me, snapping all my ribs on my right side in the process.

But then there were also some other times that Derek had bitten me but I don't really need to get into those.

We pulled up the the power station. I had never been here before and I was kind of glad. It was kind of creepy. It looked like an abandoned warehouse that hadn't been abandoned too long but long enough you could tell.

We all got out and Kira lead us through the creepy place. She lead us to a place where we were surrounded by cages with metal boxes in then.

"It was around here, I think. But everything kind of looks the same now." She said. She looks around. I can feel she's more comfortable with us now.

She glanced at Derek nervously. Derek was looking down at the floor. I looked down There was a white line on the floor as if something had been dragged across it. The line lead into a caged off area.

"What is that? Is that a baseball bat?" Kira asked. There was a metal bat up against a metal box. Isn't that...? "It's Stiles's bat." Derek said. What is Stiles's bat doing here of all places?

Derek walled into the cage. He tried to pull the bat off the box but it didn't budge. He tried a little hard, it was still stuck. He had to pull it off with werewolf strength. Derek examined the bat. Something was up. "It's magnetized." He said. Uh, I'm pretty sure it's a bit more than just magnetized.

Derek came out of the cage and placed the end of the bat where the white line started. The bat inched forward then again. The bat then immediately went back to the box, dragging Derek with it. He let go of it and it stuck to the box with a bang.

He turned around to face me and Kira. He gave me a weird glance. My eyes are probably bigger than the moon; but seriously that was crazy. "Kira, I'm going to need you to tell me everything you know about foxfire." She looked at him confused and I'm sure I do too. Foxfire?

He made a look that ment to turn around. Kira and I turned our heads. There was a sign on the chain link that said "Danger High Voltage."
