Chapter 87
We sped up to the school. The second the car stopped I threw opened the door. As I was lunging out it hit me. I held my head and screamed. It was worse than any vision. Much worse. My brain was exploding, I was sure of it. It hurt so bad.
"Eva." Derek was beside me with his arms around me protectively. Where the hell was that coming from? My head pounded and everything blurred. This was probably how a bad hang over felt.
"We have to get her out of here." I heard Derek say to Braeden. "No!" I yelled. I could smell it. Scott, Malia, Liam and gasoline. If we left now, they'd be long dead by the time they got back. "They're here." I screamed in agony. I had to fight this. If I didn't they'll be dead before we could get to them. "They're in the school!" I managed to spit out.
I felt Derek pick me up. Everything was a blur. We moved quickly through the school. Shadows and blue lockers merged together. The sound wasn't as bad in here but it still wasn't great. My head pounded less but it still hurt. A lot.
Then it stopped. My ears rang a bit but the noise was gone. I tightened my grip around Derek's neck and jumped out of his arms.
My ear perked up at the sound of bone cracking and a painful groan. Braeden runs and hits the guy, causing him to fall over. Derek and I follow close behind her. I heard footsteps and spun around. My eyes glowing. There were three men coming toward us.
When the first one got to Derek, he pushed him off towards me. I growled, grabbing him, and slamming him against the locker. I roared in his face showing him my teeth. I pulled his toward me and slammed him against the locker. I squeezed his throat and I felt blood run over my fingers. I let out a savage growl and slammed him against the wall again. He was out cold. I let him go and he fell to the floor.
Braeden ran to the guy that had been in front of Scott, Malia, and Liam and snaps his neck. Derek walked toward Scott. "What happened to the gun?" Scott asked. "You're covered in gasoline." Derek pointed out. "Oh, yeah." Scott said. Derek holds out his hand and helps Scott to his feet.
Braeden looked at me and I nodded. Things were getting worse, fast. The supernatural needed to do something if we wanted survive. And we needed to do it now.
