Chapter 90
I walked into the police station and looked around. My eyes landed on Lydia who sat on the other side of the room asleep. I walked across the room, weaving between people and desks. I put my hand on Lydia's shoulder and shook her gently. "Lydia." I said. She slowly opened her eyes. She looked up at me. "Eva." She said quietly and sat up.
Stilinski's door opened and a line of people walked out of his office with him behind them. Lydia removed the coat from her lap. "I thought I told you to go home." Stilinski said sitting beside Lydia as she moved around her neck. "I thought I told you I wasn't going anywhere." Lydia said. He looked at me. I shrugged. "I'm here for protection, company, curiosity, whatever you need." I told him. He nodded.
"Did they get anything out of her?" Lydia asked. That was defiantly something I wanted to know. How could this mentally unstable girl weave this overly complicated dead pool? "Should have gone with the medium." Stilisnki insisted. Parrish walked toward us. Lydia and Stilinski stood up beside me.
"We went through everything in Brunski's office, and so far everything amounts to pretty much nothing." Parrish looked at me and Lydia then down at our clothes. "Did you not go home yet?" He asked Lydia confused. Had Lydia been here the whole time? "Not until Meredith starts talking." Lydia insisted. I guess out of all of us, Lydia had grown the closest to Meredith. Parrish looked at me. "Didn't I leave you in the bed?" He asked. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Lydia give me a look. "It's like eight. How long do you want me to sleep?" I asked with a bit too much sass. He looked at his watch confused. He must haven't of gotten a lot of sleep.
"Lydia, I promise she'll talk, and when she does, I'll let you know. Trust me on this. Everybody talks eventually." Stilinski said. I guess he has a point. "Then let me try." Lydia told him. "No, we've already discussed this." He insisted. "I've gotten through to her before. Just let me try." Lydia insisted. "I don't think that would be a bad idea." I spoke up. Everyone looked at me. "All the times that Meredith had something to say she would only tell Lydia. It's not like Meredith will attack her. Lydia's completely safe here." If they wanted Meredith to talk, Lydia was defiantly the best way to get through to her.
My phone rang. I dug in my pocket and found it. I looked at the screen. Scott. Oh God, what now?
"Hello?" I answered it. "We need your help." He said. I shook my head. "We?" I asked confused. "Satomi's pack is in trouble. They need protection." Protection? I watched Satomi kill the assassin in the hospital and she did it without getting hit by a single bullet which is more than I can say for myself. Why can't she protect herself? "Eva, please. We can't do this alone. We need you." Scott pleaded. Scott had never been a pushy alpha but he had also never begged for anything. I huffed. "Where are you?"
