Different Lives, Different Events

Chapter 12

Katy:

We got our seats and we still had time before the actual movie started. So we had time to talk about whatever we wanted. "So what did you get Leah for her birthday?" He looked at me puzzled and I actually think he forgot about Leah's birthday. "Well I got her a gift card to Starbucks." Wow, he didn't forget and I'm actually surprised that's what he got her. Corey looked kinda confused and looked at me and said " So what did you get her?" I was going to tell him but I thought for a moment "You'll see once we get back Leah's house." He looked kind of mad but I didn't care. I just sat there eating popcorn and didn't want to look at him anyway possible. We talked until the movie started, and it was about stupid things like so random things. Once the movie actually started we both Shut our mouths and watched.

Corey:

Once we got into our seats and I took the popcorn and started to eat it and watch the commercials before the movie. Katy asked me what I got for Leah. I told her I got her a gift card to her favorite place. But Katy wouldn't tell me. But as soon as the movie started half of the popcorn was gone. But I ran to the concessions and got some more popcorn.
*2 hours and 5 minutes*
Toward the end of the movie, someone in the movie died and I think I saw a tear come from her eye, but only one. I grabbed her hand and squeezed it for comfort and reassurance. After the movie we got out we started to head to the car. I came around and gave her a hug. It was my turn to drive. So I drove us to her favorite food place. We went to go get pizza ourselves. "Hey I know we just met and I don't want to rush things, how would you like it if you were my girlfriend?" She looked up from her pizza and towards me and I didn't know what she was going to say. She looked at me and her straight face emerged to a smile. "Yes!" I was so happy and I've never met someone as fun,beautiful, and loving as her. After we got done eating pizza we went to Walmart and bought crap we never needed. But we screwed around in there for like 1 maybe 2 hours. Then we went to Starbucks and got coffee.

Katy:

I cried a little bit in the movie but luckily Corey was there to comfort me. After that we got into the car and I was surprised that Corey was going to drive. So since he drove, he took me out to this, what I thought was a really sketchy pizza place. Surprisingly  it was pretty good and I doubt my thought about it. I was looking through social media and then put my phone down when Corey started to talk.  And looked down at my pizza.  If I stare into his eyes my face turns red. But then he asked me that most unbelievable question "Hey I know we just met and I don't want to rush things but, would you like to be my girlfriend?" And my face was so confused and excited at the same time. And I looked right into his eyes and said "Yes!!" And that made me so happy that I was with him. After that we went to Wal-Mart for like 1-2 hours for nothing and to just mess around. Corey drove again and he drove us to Starbucks. And I hate coffee and I told Corey and he said have a hot chocolate and I had one. They were surprisingly  good and I was impressed. We did nothing really after that,we went to the park and just sat there talking the whole time. Every time Corey hugged me or for close to me my heart felt like it was beating out of my ribs, so I was scared because I didn't want him to notice that my heartbeat was like that. We were heading back home to Leahs house when there was a frozen yogurt on the way home. We had to stop, overall I had an amazing time with Corey.
